Super Star!

Do you remember that SNL skit? I so love that one! Ok...this new Hanna doesn't exactly look like the gal from the skit but I love that she's a 'super star'! :) Take a peek....

Time To Stamp Simply! (post 1 of the day)

Yay! It's time to Stamp Simply! :) I am SOOOO excited about this weeks challenge (ssnotime76)! Do you have cabin fever? I absolutely DO! I am so ready for spring! Heck! I am actually ready to just bypass spring and head straight for summer! I would LOVE to be on a boat somewhere watching the sun set or rise...whatever! Just as long as it's warm and sunny on my face! Thus the inspiration for my card this week.

I took Papertrey Ink's new Background Basics: Retro. I decided to use one of the borders to create an ocean and then sponge a warm, sunny, sun! Take a peek....

I also added the sentiment from PTI's Handwritten Notes. This is such a sweet set! I love that the whole team came up with sentiments and that they are all in their very own handwriting! Hmm....I'm thinking someone near and dear has a couple of sentiments in this set.... ;) Yay, Becky! :)

Happy Hip Hop Thursday! :) How happy are you that it's Thursday! I love this day! ...And! I LOVE the new release from Unity Stamp Co. this week! This set is absolutely amazing! It's so beautiful! Feel the Joy. Take a look....

Doesn't that image just make you go aaaaaaaaaah. It's just so serene. Doesn't it make you happy? How about one more with this stamp. I created a layout with my middle son, Carter.



This is one of my favorite pictures! When I started the layout I knew I wanted CAS...I've definitely achieved that. I must share that I feel so incredibly blessed! I absolutely have such amazing boys. They are the light of my life.

So what brings you joy? I find joy in...

...Starbucks peppermint mocha...extra hot...with an extra shot of peppermint. ;)
...donut mornings with my sons.

...my stamping friends! I love you guys!
...5 years! I am so happy to be here. To enjoy the everyday with my family and friends. To have another day...another moment of laughter, tears...everything. Life is really great...good and bad...it's truly such a blessing to be here and that gives me great joy!

We Interrupt The Cleaning Frenzy...

Holy heck! I've been working constantly on cleaning my basement and organizing my stamping stuff! One good point, the hole in the wall has been fixed. Phew! ;) Now on to painting. Of course that really should wait until I have everything put away. Hmmm....that could take an eternity! I promise to show you some pics by the mid-week NEXT week! ;) That give me a little more time to finish up and hopefully I will surprise myself and finish up a little earlier. How nice would that be!


In the meantime, how about this little quickie...and I do mean quickie! This one took all of 10 minutes...if that! ;) I made this one during VSN Friday night. While keeping things moving I realized I was short one sample and needed something fast so I threw this one together....a little panicked...but hey, it was fun!

A little background...the challenge was to pull out a stamp that you didn't like. Wowzers! That was so hard, until I remembered this one! This stamp set is from SU. I remember thinking that I HAD to have it. Why? Hmm...I still can't remember the answer to that question....but I got it. It's pretty much been in the package ever since and is now in my stack of retired that I need to get rid of! FUN challenge! Hey, they all were! I really loved VSN! But man this stamp just doesn't like me!

Do you want this one? Reply to this post and it's yours! :) Seriously, it was really hard working with it! I truly see the beauty in this stamp...REALLY I do....but working with it is such a challenge for me. It screams watercolor to me and since I am not such a fan of watercoloring I never want to stamp it! I opted to stamp, distress, and then add the circle...just to keep it simple!

Ok...so reply and I will choose a winner on Sunday March 1st. Hopefully one of you will be able to work magic with this one! :)

Ok...off to try and get busy with this whole cleaning thing. How nice would it be to actually finish...today! :) Hope you all have a great one! :)

Here's one more of my VSN creations. This one is for a Split Negative challenge. I was so excited about this challenge because this is a technique I haven't tried before. I really love to do new things and step out of my comfort zone.

I used Unity's Tea Time Toile background for this one. The sentiment is from Dawn McVey's new Damask Designs from Papertrey Ink. You can pick up the ribbon and melon card stock there as well.

It's Stamp Simply Time!

I was so excited to get my new Kit of the Month from Unity and decided to use the super cute butterfly for this one. Take a look....

Dog Soup

Hip Hop! :) Hope you are all enjoying the blog hop so far! I so love all of the fabulous eye candy! First up for me a little snippet about the Store More Stamps by Little Monkeys storage system. Wowzers! I LOVE this system! Although I haven't done anything fancy with my system...yet!....I have mine sitting on my desk and it's wonderful. I use this for all of my upcoming projects. I put my stamps that I am working with in the sleeves and they are right on my desk at the ready. This system ROCKS! :)

Next up...my project for today. I created a little mini book to share with you. I used a couple of last weeks releases from Unity for this one. I'm using Rain and Flowers and Numbers, etc. for this one.

I used an acrylic 6X6 Bind-it-All book kit for this but instead of using my machine and rings I opted to use my crop-a-dile and a couple of book rings.....

I paper pieced the umbrella and then went over the top with Crystal Effects. The paper is Cosmo Cricket. The ribbon is PTI. The little guy is my youngest picking flowers on the deck. It was a beautiful day and we were all just hanging out.

So...April showers bring dog soup at the Buck house!......

I don't normally let my kid drink out of the dog bowl but I will share that during the summer....at least last summer....it was a constant battle to keep him out of it! He LOVES messing with it. I think I have a future chef on my hands! ;)

One Layout...Two Cards

How excited do you get when new stamps arrive! Woohoo! :) I'm doing the happy dance because new stamps are in the house! I so love when that happens! I couldn't wait to ink everything up! But there is so little time! Ugh! Yesterday was a crazy one so I only had time in the evening. What's a girl to do????

How about one layout...one of my favorite quickies....for two different cards. It's EPLS...but I just had to whip something out with these super cute stamps! LOVE them!

First up....Papertrey Ink's new Tags For Spring...how fast did that arrive! Holy heck! I am so excited! I ordered Saturday night and it's here on Tuesday! Wowzers! I was so excited with all of the new releases. This is one of my favorites. I created a super simple card with this one. Take a look.....

I used the new Melon Berry paper and ink. The ribbon is also PTI. Holy Moly...there are so many new and wonderful things over at PTI!

Next up....Our Craft Lounge! LOVE these gals and their stamps are soooo much fun! I used Granny's Support Team for this little quickie. This one is actually near and dear to my heart. When I saw it in fact I knew I had to have this set. If you are a frequent reader of my blog you know that I am a cancer survivor...you may even remember me talking about my very best friend in the world who had breast cancer. It is so very important that each of us take care of 'squishing' the girls every now and again...just to make sure things are the way they are supposed to be. How fun to be able to send out a card to all of my girlfriends and remind them of that fact! Here's the card they will receive.....

How much do you love this set! I LOVE the sentiment! Just tell it like it is! It's so important!

Wowzers! I am on sensory overload here today! I can't wait to have a few more minutes to create with my new stamps! I'm so excited!

One Of My Favorites

Happy Monday funday! :) Todays Monday challenge is to create a card using your favorite holiday. I quite frankly don't think I've ever met a holiday I don't like! Hey...it's Presidents day...I LOVE that one! At the time this posts I will be heading over to the donut shop with the boys to start our day 'off'. You know, part of what makes a holiday fun is the time off of school! I love just hanging out with them and playing!

My card for today is inspired more by what I came across while organizing yesterday than anything else! I am still so far out from being finished with that but I couldn't believe some of the paper I came across. Take a peek....

OMHeck! I LOVED this paper when it was released a couple of years ago! I honestly didn't realize I still had any left! Wowzers! I knew I just had to pull out one of my favorite Halloween stamps from Unity to finish the job! FUN!

Phew! I cannot believe the whirlwind week I've had! Between school stuff, house stuff, stamping stuff....it's been quite the crazy week!

First up....this is my last month as a dirty girl! I move to the alumni section after this. Awww.... I have had so much fun creating for Splitcoast! It has been such an honor and the time really flew by! Be sure and check out everyones creations...you won't be disappointed! Everything is BEAUTIFUL!

Second...my cabinets were installed! Woohoo! :) I promise to share some pictures once I get organized. They installed on Friday but I haven't had a chance to stop and put anything away! Everything is still spread out on the basement floor!

I will share one little photo. I went downstairs at one point Friday to see if the guys needed anything to drink and the look that one of them gave me! He was crouched and leaning against the wall trying to screw something into one of the cabinets. I was thinking 'man, it's just water'! Then he says 'I think I just went through the wall'.

Seriously! He did! lol! OMHeck! Ok...good thing he wasn't hurt because seriously I couldn't stop laughing! His face was a riot! Poor guy! It's a good thing I laughed! He was soooooo worried I would be mad. It stinks...but it's all good....or will be once the drywall guy comes next week. Anyhow...take a peek....



Now I am off to finish my coffee....yeah...at nearly 11! It's been a crazy morning as well! ;) I hope you are all doing well. I am off to organize!

Initials Here!

It's time to Stamp Simply! This weeks challenge is to create...anything...using a monogram. You can find out all of the specifics at Sharon's blog. I LOVE monograms. I decided to create a little monogram notecard for this one....thinking black and white....this is what I came up with....

I used my JustRite Stamper for this one. The paper is from Papertrey Ink as is the ribbon. I embossed the white strip of paper with my cuttlebug swiss dots folder.
