A Stamp Simply Challenge

....Negative...the one and only negative I like! Todays Stamp Simply challenge is to use the negative image of a punch or die cut or a stamped image. No other rules apply. You can get more detailed information at Sharon's blog here.

I pulled out my cury label punch from Stampin Up for this one and punched a spot on the lower edge of my card and then ditched the punched out piece and opted to use the rest of the paper! Take a peek.....

Then I stamped a sentiment and heart from Papertrey Ink's Love Songs...this one is getting a work out from me! Love this set! The paper is Cosmo Cricket.

A Retro Hip Hop

Hip Hop! :) I'm so wishing I had audio of that! It was so fun to hear everyone saying that at CHA! Hanging in the aisles and yelling hip hop! Unity really ROCKS doesn't it! It's a group of such fun, caring people! LOVE it! :)

This week is something new...something so much fun! RETRO hip hop! This week we are going to all create projects with some of our favorite 'old' sets. While I am using sets that aren't 'new releases', I am using sets that...shockingly!....I haven't used...or at least shared before!

First up...Spunky Princess. I LOVE this set! It's super cute! I decided to create a couple of 'notecards' with this kit. Here's the first....

The paper is from Cloud Nine. I colored the butterfly with my copics. The second uses the super cute wand but the same paper....



I added some of the Memory Thread to this one. LOVE the Memory Thread.

Next up...a layout! Ah...I haven't done a scrapbook page in over two weeks! I had to shake off the dust for this one! I just picked up this super fun kit from The Little Yellow Bicycle. Ok...I totally deviated from their layout but I LOVED the elements! I used the super BIG Delightful for this one. I also used the 'ribbon' from the October KOTM. This kit is amazing in and of itself but I go back to this 'ribbon' over and over! I LOVE it!

I had the great pleasure of meeting Kellie Fortin while I was there. Kellie is such a sweetie! You know I LOVE the JustRite Stamper and was I excited about all of the new goodies that are coming out! Wowzers! So much stuff! I'm not even sure I know where to start!

How about first with a picture of the sweet Kellie herself!

Kellie is just as sweet IRL as she is online! I just adore her! I headed over to the JustRite booth to get the grand tour and was just blown away! I was so excited about all of the stamps that have line images! I LOVE coloring so those were really speaking to me! There's is also this super cute martini set....a FAB recipe set! Man! I was in heaven!

One of the really cool things that JustRite is releasing is the new vertical stamper. I LOVE this! There are also some new alphabets. I took a picture of them but they are somewhat mangled from the plane ride.....

A lower case Times New Roman Alpha! LOVE that! I used the smaller vertical handle to create this....

How much do I love this one! I can't wait for all of the new releases! :)

How do you like that wire? That's a little something I picked up at CHA. It's from DMC and it's called Memory Wire. I LOVE this stuff! I fell in love instantly! This is my first project with it but I think there are sooooo many possibilities!

The stamp is from Papertrey and is called Love Songs. The paper is from PTI's new Black and White basics. I also used the black satin and black grosgrain ribbon. The pin is from Making Memories.

Simply Wooly

Well, there's actually nothing simple about this wool! ;)

First up, it's time to Stamp Simply. This weeks challenge is to make a 'Love' card. That's easy enough. You can check out all the deets at Sharon's blog. For this one I usesd Papertrey's My Puny Valentine. Take a peek.....

The paper is from Stampin Up. This is part of the new Textiles package. The card stock is all PTI...it's white and sweet blush. The ribbon is new and from Papertrey as well.

The flock???? Well, that's just about the cutest stuff I have ever seen! This is from Our Craft Lounge it's called Sparkly Fluff. This is a super new...and super secret blend of not only flock but glitter...glitter that DOESN'T settle to the bottom! Have you ever tried to mix glitter with flock? It just doesn't stay blended! Well the creative geniouses over at Our Craft Lounge have figured out a way to keep that from happening. How excited was I when I saw this! This should be available for purchase very soon...you know I will be stalking the site to pick it up in every color! I LOVE this stuff! We did a super cute make-n-take with it at their booth this weekend. Yeah...as soon as Cambria turned her back I grabbed some....hey...you gotta pay attention when I'm around! ;)

Monday Challenge, Unity Peeps, Dirty Girls, and Paris Hilton...What?and CHA Update!

Happy Monday! It's time for another Monday challenge and this one is coming to you from sunny, and chilly, southern CA! I'm here! Woohoo! Having so much fun visiting with all of my stamping friends and seeing all of the wonderful new products that are in store for us.


First up...our Monday challenge....this weeks challenge to create a masculine card. Masculine isn't always the easiest for me. You know I always want to throw a little ribbon and bling on just about everything I create! This week I decided to opt for a masculine Valentine. Take a look....

It was really great to get here on Saturday. Getting off of the plane was a high moment for me. You know I'm not the best with planes! But once I got here it was so awesome to get to see my great friends from Unity. Here's one of me, Angela, Jeanne, and AJ in the booth....which is just gorgeous!

Woohooo!!!!! It's Jimmi! We were all so happy to see her! Chris and AJ hogged most of her time! Jimmi said that she came to see Mickey....


But I know it was to see Paris Hilton....


....seriously! Hey, I knew the world of paper crafts was where it's at! Paris came complete with an entourage of security and a flock a peeps waiting to see her. They had the whole place sectioned off.

It was great to also get the chance to meet some of the Unity peeps that I've had the pleasure of meeting through hip hop....

Later that night we headed off to the SCS cupcake reception. I got to see one of my FAVORITE people in the world EVER...Lori Craig...she's one of the sweetest people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. I really adore her.....

It's really so great to get to see her again. It's one of the things that has made the whole plane ride worth it!

Amy Sheffer, Cindy Lawrence...Jenn Balcer! Ohmyheck! Can you believe it! :) I am only bummed because our 'dirty' dinner was Sunday night and I would pick that night of all nights to end up with a migraine! Ugh! I got back to the hotel from the convention center only to lay on the bed...thinking it would just be for a minute.....I took some tylenol....AJ gave me some aleve.....but there was no fighting that one off. A few hours later I called Jenn....was really hoping to head over to at the very least catch up but my head was throbbing! Insert REALLY big weapy sad face here! :(

Now I am off to find the tylenol and get ready for the day. I will post you all again with updates in a bit. Once I figure out the video I will share a little of that as well. Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Have you noticed how everything brings a song to my head! ;) By the time you read this I will be working my way to CHA. I'm so excited! ...and super...SUPER nervous about flying! Ok...moving on before I have another panic attack! ;)

It's Time To Hip HOP!

Happy hip Hop Thursday! :) Are you guys ready for another fun day of Unity goodness? Have you had a chance to check out the latest release? Soooo CUTE! I used this one this week for my layout.....

Fun! ;) I took these pictures after our attempt at a visit with Santa this Christmas. Evan and Carter are now officially to 'old' to sit in his lap and Hayden was scared to death of him! ;) Our formal pictures consist of the older two standing on either side...trying to look all cool and Hayden in the stroller right by my side...completely OUT of the picture! He wanted nothing to do with him! When we got home I decided I had to try and get a picture of them. They looked so cute in their matching shirts! Of course, as is always the case they started goofing off and the whole thing turned into one big giggle fest! You gotta LOVE that! ;)

Next up for me...another 'Valentines' card. I really LOVE this months KOTM! It's one of my favorites to date! I used the 'Love me' sentiment....
The pink mirrors are from Heidi Swapp. The paper is SU. I added pink stickles to the little hearts. EPLS! :)

Boom Goes My {heart}... :) Have you seen this one from Unity? I LOVE this one! It's sooo cute! Here's my first card with it.....


How cute is that! I LOVE those little turtles! I colored this one with my copics and then went back over the heart with a little bit of Shimmerz in Hottie Pink...I LOVE how sparkly Shimmerz is! Hey, a little bit of bling is always a good thing! ;)


Today will be a crazy one for me. I'm leaving for CHA this weekend. Woohoo! :) I'm so excited to see so many of my stamping friends and how fun to see all the upcoming releases! I will be posting pictures and maybe video...if I can figure that out!...from the road. I'll still be around with my daily posts...hip hop tomorrow! woohoo!..... Today will be a crazy one filled with lots of housework and last minute running around. Fun stuff! :)

Virtual Stamp Night

Happy Saturday! :)

Last night we had a little flirting going on at Splitcoast Stampers. Flirting? Well, yeah...for our What's Love Got To Do With It Virtual Stamp Night. Last nights challenge was to create a scrapaling. No other limitations. How fun! What's a scrapaling? Well, it's a 1.25X4.25 card. How cool is that! The perfect way to use up your scraps! I opted to go super simple with mine....

I used Unity's new Love Grows kit for this one. EPLS...a little kraft...a little pink ribbon...done! If you would like to play with this one you have until 10PM eastern Sunday night. Be sure to upload at SCS using the keyword FEB09VSNF1.

Hip HOP!

Happy Thursday.....Um....HIP HOP, Thursday! :) Woohoo! How fun is this day! :) ...and this one is AMAZING! There are soooooo many new releases today! Wowzers! Well...I've got some popping up in the Dirty Dozen. You can check them out here in the Fan Club gallery if you are a member. I do have a few to share with you here.....


First up...this one is from the KOTM. This is one of my favorite kits yet! LOVE the big beautiful images!

The paper came in my Studio Calico kit this month...can't remember the brand. I also used Kiwi Kiss card stock and colored the image with my Copic markers.

Next up....OMHECK! One of the cutest Valentine sets EVER! ;) Take a look.....

For this one...I took some masking tape...yup.....masking tape....painted it with my white opaque copic ink...then went back over it with my watercolor crayons....leaving some drips behind. I stuck that on the strip with the sentiment and then just ripped some paper to piece around it. Throw on some chipboard....there you go....

One last....this one also uses one of this weeks new releases....this time an alphabet. How about a layout this time....take a look.....

This is the coolest alpha! If you order this one it will come in strips of letters that you will need to cut out. I actually got so excited when I saw it the first time that I ordered a second set so that I could keep one uncut! The strips with the word 'ride' are from the uncut set. This is one of my favorite pictures. This was the first day my son learned to ride his bike without the training wheels. He hit a mailbox...that's the story he tells to this day! But otherwise it was without injury! To fun!

Hip Hop... 'Shines' On!

Woot, woot! Happy hip HOP Thursday! Wow! Had we gone any longer and I might have needed professional help! I've missed this! :) Today is such a fun one! Angela is releasing the CUTEST new set! Take a peak..... I've used that one for everything today! LOVE it!

Here's my first card.......

Love these little lamps! The paper is from Collage Press. It's from the Jackson Lodge Collection. The ribbon is Stampin' Up!. The gems are from Mark Richards they are crystal stickers in yello jaune. I colored the lamps with my copic markers.

Next up.......

You know me! I had to flip one and turn it into a chandelier. The paper for this one is Scenic Route. I also used PTI's Ripe Avocado paper and ribbon. I colored the lamp with my copics and then added some candy cane Stickles for shine.

And a layout.....

This is one of my favorite pictures of Carter. This is from last winter....when we actually had a little snow! Well, I guess we have a little today...a VERY little!....it's been a snow free winter for us so far! Anyhoo....I used one of the sentiments from the new release...cause he so shines! ...and a couple of other stamps. The black and white border is from a KOTM. I LOVE that little dot stamp. It's one of my favorites!
