Carol's Card

Happy Birthday to you! It's round three of birthdays in the Buck household. What a crazy day! It's not as if I don't know the day is coming! I've been all around this town twice today it seems!

1.) Take the kids to school
2.) Grocery for cupcakes and juicebox for Evan's class
3.) Target for a last minute gift
4.) Home to regroup
5.) Back to the school to pickup Carter
6.) Off to the bakery to pickup the birthday cake
7.) Lunch
8.) Regroup...and by regroup I mean diapers, milk that sort of thing...there's no mommy regrouping at all!
9.) Off to the school to bring the cupcakes for Evan's class...let me tell you, I have a whole new appreciation for teachers! Wow! All the questions!
10.) Home for about 5 seconds before heading back to school to pick up Evan
11.) Unclog yet another toilet...this is a work in progress at our house! Trust me, I would rather they use too much toilet paper than not enough! ;) gross!
12.) Dinner...hard to get much of an appetite after the toilet but the margarita was great!
13.) Home for cake and presents
14.) Time for Hayden's bath and bed
15.) Breathe!

I can't even believe that was my day! Not much stamping going on here today! Which puts me behind on ever challenge! You know tomorrow is Friday and I still have last weeks challenges that I haven't completed! I am working on my card swap cards...they are moving along just fine! One is completely finished and I am tweeking the other. Fun, fun!f

Well, speaking of card swap...it's a perfect time to share one of our swap cards with you. This one is from Carol. She really makes some great cards! This is one of my favorites!

I just love this! Love the red with the black ribbon...love it! Card swaps are awesome! We used one of my sketches this time and it was so much fun to see what everyone came up with.

So now it's off to bed! I am so tired now! What a long day! I can't wait to hit the pillow! I hope that you have all had a wonderful day! I look forward to sharing more with you tomorrow and checking out what you've been up to. I haven't had much time for the computer today! It feels really strange! Withdrawals!

Take care and have a wonderful night! :)

A Card Swap First Draft..

...For my local card swap...I've been so excited that I was able to get into a Gina K swap at SCS...I never see this kind of thing on time! I am always late and miss out. So excited about this that I think my friends are tired of hearing me talk about what I am going to do! ...sorry guys...deadline is fast approaching...then you will just hear me talk about the cute little cards I receive! ;)

For my little card swap we did things a bit different this time around. Each of us that signed up in March agreed to participate for March and April. In March we each brought enough of an embellishment (that had us a bit stumped) to swap with one lucky person...who will then use for their cards in April. We drew names to see who would get who...just to keep it fair...and I was the lucky recipient of Amy's contribution. She gave up these really cute book plates and rhinestone gems. How lucky was I! ...yes, I'm still doing my happy dance y'all!...sorry I'm really excited about these little things.

I knew the minute I saw these exactly what I was going to do....and is often the case with me and card swap...my first draft is not always the completed version. This card doesn't utilize the gems...since I want the finished version to be a surprise and since Amy had an extra in the bag...I decided to do this one as well...I will work on the final project for swap and share that after we have our swap...as well as the photo I took of all of our loot.

Here's my first draft...

It's definitely an EPLS...but I thought it was a cutie. Love these little bookplates...I must have more! ...Amy...you have to hook me up!
That's all I have for the moment...I am off to play for about 20 minutes until bedtime...then off to stamp a bit more...I may have something else tonight...but for sure tomorrow...I have over a dozen new ideas in my little book and there is a stack of stamps on my desk just waiting to be played with! So many stamps so little time!
Hope you are all doing well...oh!...and it's Monday! Bachelor and Medium! What an awesome tv night! ...there I go again....sorry...I will try really hard not to post anything during the Bachelor...you know how that show drives me a bit nuts!
Take care and I will post you soon! :)

Quick update & Meg's Card

We've been battling the...flu?...here for the last couple of weeks. First, Evan...then Carter...Hayden even got sick...now me. I started feeling really bad Sunday and before Monday morning it was all over! I am finally feeling somewhat normal! Finally!

Well, I haven't really stamped much of anything in three days now...feels a little strange not to have ink on my fingers! So today I will share another card swap card....hopefully I will catch up around the house tomorrow and be able to get a little stamping in then. ...now that I am feeling better I am suffering withdrawals! ...12 steps...I don't know...probably not a bad idea...but I am so not ready for that! ;) ...just give me my stamps! aaahhh! ;)

Here's a fantabulous card from my sweet friend Meg. You can always count on Meg to step it up. She didn't let us down this time. Meg used the shaving cream technique on her egg. How cute is that!

...I was hoping that I might have the energy to stamp a little something...just not going to happen tonight. I am making progress. I grabbed the computer and brought it upstairs. I will spend the evening catching up on all of y'alls stuff. It's been a few days since I've been able to do that.

On the plus side of all of this...my husband is due home any moment. He's been gone for the last couple of weeks. Wouldn't you know that would be when everyone gets sick! ;)

I hope you are all doing well...and that you are all staying well! Take care and I will post you soon! :)

Lisa's Card Swap Card

I wanted to share another card swap card. This one is from another great friend of mine, Lisa....ok...Lisa's blog I can actually link! I am on day number 2 of not being able to get onto SCS or any SCS blog for that matter! How very frustrating is this! Lisa's blog has tons of great pictures. She's such a fantabulous photographer...as well as a great card maker!

I am going to try and post a few more of these today as well as hopefully have something of my own to post. I think Carter is feeling a little better. He fell asleep last night at 5PM! Hayden seems a little better although he woke up at 5AM! Evan feels great! ...I, well, not sure how I am feeling...trying to tell myself I feel great...but in all honesty...that's just not the truth! uhgh!

Post you all soon! ...have a great morning! :)

My Card Swap Card From Bobbi

I can't believe I haven't started sharing these with you guys yet! We had our card swap Monday night...and what beautiful cards I have to share! The first one I am going to show you is from one of my dear friends, Bobbi. Her cards are always super cute!

...I will first share that Bobbi is the reason I had to get myself some prismas. She uses them often and her images are always just stunning!

Ok...time to see for yourself....If you would like to see more of Bobbi's beautiful cards you can find them here.

...ok...will come back later to add that link...is anyone else having trouble connecting to SCS? I have been unable to do so all morning! Very frustrating! I was wondering if it was just me.

Thanks for stopping by. I am off to get a few things done around here and then down stairs to hopefully get some stamping done.

Post you all soon! :)

Here's Why I Love Card Swap!

What a great night! I say it all the time, but I'm going to say it again! I love card swap! Some of our little group have been swapping cards for almost two years! I can hardly believe that! I think we have all grown so much in our stamping in that time. Since the beginning we've had some new additions and they are all great stampers! Each and everyone keeps me on my toes! I am always getting inspired by each of them! ....And here's why!....

Here's Bobbi's card. I really love
this. The colors are stunning and I love the frame around the sentiment. Beautiful!

Here's Amy's card. These colors are beautiful as well. I love the green and black. These colors are so striking together.

Lisa made this beautiful contribution. I so love the paper! This is so super cute! Notice the little gem in the center of the flower! Too cute!

Here's Nancy's card. Pink and brown is always a fav color combo
of mine. Love the glittery heart in the center!

Here is Jen S's card. I really love this. The brads she used are perfect for this card. Another beautiful contribution!

Here is Diane's cute, cute card! I love this one as well. The colors are stunning and check out the embossing. Diane has not been stamping very long. She and her daughter Lauren started together. I am always impressed with both of them! They are always pushing themselves with new techniques and coming up with really cute cards!

Speaking of Lauren....here is her card....CUTE! Can you believe she is only 14! She's amazing! How cute is this!

Another beauty from Meg! I so love this card. Love the pink...love the hearts...love the shiny paper!

Here is Carol's card. This is now my favorite Carol card. It's soooo cute! I love the lone gem on the butterfly. It's perfect! I love the soft colors. So very cute!

And there you have it! Another fun card swap. So much fun! Thanks again you guys for all of your hard work! You all did such a great job!

Thanks for stopping by! I will see you all soon!
