Day 9....And Blog Candy

...but this time you have to work for it. Ok...very, VERY LITTLE for it! Today I have the pleasure of hosting a challenge. I LOVE hosting challenges. Given this is the craziest time of the year I have opted for something EPLS!

Happy celebration Tuesday! How fun is this!

I am having so much fun with this celebration! :) How awesome is Sharon! :)

My challenge for you today is to create a quick card. After all, we all need time to bake! ...and in my case shop! So today, create something quick. I do understand that my idea of quick may differ from yours. I'm easy. As long as you consider it a quick card...it counts!

Here's a little something, something I created....

I will share that it actually took longer for the liquid pearls to dry than it did to create this card. Maybe that's not such a big shock! ;)

Once you create yours be sure and link here so that I can check them out and you can be entered for the blog candy. You can upload to your own blog or to SCS under the keyword SSC08....that will keep all of the Stamp Simply challenge/projects in one place.

Be sure and check out all of the fabulous designers who created samples for this one:

So what are you playing for? How about the Christmas Stamp Ensemble from JustRite Stamper along with the wooden handle that goes along with it. Some glittery chipboard snowflakes from K&Company, a pad of dsp from SU and a ton of green and red ribbon.

Be sure and link your card up by Saturday at midnight. I will announce a winner on Sunday morning.

Also up for today's celebration:

Blog candy over at Sharon's site.

AJ has a fun trivia contest that will also offer up blog candy to one lucky winner.

So many goodies for today! :)

Here's a quick Christmas card - I'd picked up these word dies at JoAnn's the other day - they're already glitzy and all I did was mat a Cuttlebugged cardstock base, pick up some corresponding ribbon and whipped up this quickie:

and for this quickie I stamped a wreath using two different snowflake stamps, tied on some ribbon at the bottom, and double-matted it ... voila! easy peasy!

I really love this idea, Jennifer. The kraft is growing on me. Too sick to play but so much fun to see and what you all are doing.

I just found your blog because of the 12 days of Christmas celebration... needless to say, I've bookmarked it!

Here are some quick cards I made. They are smaller and I need to make a lot of them.

I uploaded my card to SSC08 gallery in Splitcoast. Hope it's there. Haven't done this for a long time. Made this simple card for my SIL who needed a simple but classic looking card for business contacts.

For some reason the only way I can get my comments in is by going anonymous - Google won't work for me. But I still want to 'play' so I have had to go this route. Nice blog candy Jennifer - thanks.

Jen, this is awesome! I love how subtle the kraft cardstock is, and how the red and green really stand out against it! Have a great day! Get all your "stuff" done! ;)

How elegant! I love the simplicity-- the colors are so great too! Kraft and red are made for each other!

So my quick card took about 2 hours - but only due to interuptions, downloading problems, etc. The card itself took only about 10-15 minutes. And I am happy with the outcome.

Jen, I love this card. My simple card isn't a Christmas card and hope that isn't a requirement. You can find my card at http://lifefullofsunflowers.blogspot.com/.

Jennifer- what a great challenge! This is my version of a quick card. I'm always challenged by a layout so my favorite thing to do is look through the gallery on SCS to find inspiration. The reason this card was so quick was that I basically COPIED the whole thing! I loved Denise's card and made my own! Take a look http://happinessisus.blogspot.com/2008/12/snow-wonderful.html (it's the first card) Great challenge!

OMG Jen, you so inspired me that I made 4 (all the same) quick 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" Basic Grey cards last night. I love the results too.

Thanks for the challenge, since I needed cards anyway! Only about 75 more to go!! Jeannie

It started out EPLS ;). Oh well! My idea of quick is using a sketch and some dp. I accomplished that, but then I did some embossing and coloring in with a blender pen! Here it is: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1159078?cat=500&ppuser=156271. Thanks for the challenge!
