Happy Sunday! :)

I'm so excited about today! I'm sponsoring CPS! How fun is that! CPS is such a wonderful site with so many amazing sketches from the talented Tami Mayberry and she has a team of super talented designers. This week they are all using a bit of Stampin' Up! for the cards they are creating with this weeks sketch. I'm playing with this weeks sketch as well. I used some of my favorite SU products for this sort of rustic Christmas card....

The stamp is from A Holly Jolly Christmas. The paper is Soft Suede DSP patterns prints. The ribbon is Sleigh Bells. You can find all the supplies through my SU website.

Ok...Work With Me.....

Ok....it's Stamp Simply time....one of favorite times of the week. This weeks challenge is so much fun. For this weeks challenge you need to create something geared around a 'pot'....could be a flower pot, a coffee pot....you get it. You can find all the deets at Sharon's blog.

I really stretched this one a bit. Where do you have the coffee pot, or the flower pot....well, home of course! ;) So why not make a house? Sometimes I just get these ideas in my head and there is no turning back. So here we go......

What can I tell you. Somehow this just must fit. ;) I have all kinds of flower pots at my house with a coffee pot.....you get the idea. Hey, it was one of those nights.

Yikes! I HATE being late for anything! ;) So sorry for being this late! I knew I would be a little late but I had NO idea it would be this out of hand!

I'm so glad it's Saturday! We are actually supposed to have highs in the 70's today! Wowzers! You don't know how excited I am about that! WARM! :) I love that!



I have one quickie to share this morning. I made this little candy holder with Trendy Trees from Stampin Up....

EPLS...baby! ...and a little so saffron which is my favorite color to date! I LOVE this color! It's so sunny and yet so soft! Beautiful!

Ok...that's all I have to now. I am off to play with the boys! :) Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday! I will be back tomorrow with, yes, pics of the new stamping space! Holy heck! I cannot believe that I am actually finished! :) Took me long enough didn't it! ;)

Deep In Organization

I just have to say that organizing is a whole new thing for me! I am of the 'pile' variety. I stack a little here and a little there and I know exactly where everything is! Seriously! Everything! This is one thing my husband does not understand! He's the organized one in our house. For me, as long as nobody touches my stacks of stuff I am good. Of course, now with three little boys you can never count on anything being left alone! From this a project was born....my stamp room. I promise that I will share the pics of everything in the next week but right now I don't think you would be able to see anything through the mess that I've created! Hey, I don't want to just throw it all in there! I really want it to be right...you know, organized! This is all new for me! Wait, I said that already didn't I?

This week will be insane so starting next Sunday I will share with you all I've been working on....maybe if I give myself a deadline I will actually make myself finish!

Ok...so today I am going to share some old stuff that I haven't posted before. Tomorrow I will have my Monday challenge card and another Hanna sneak peek....I'm so excited to take part in the upcoming release. This is going to be so much fun!

Hip Hop

Happy Hip Hop Thursday! :) Are you ready to Hop? :) OMHeck! ...there are some super CUTE new releases this week! You can see them all at the Unity site. Are you as much in love as I am!? I LOVE the new stuff! There is so much to choose from!

Ah...I have three samples to share with three of the new releases. I LOVE them all! First up a layout....and one of my favorites so far. I am really enjoying this scrapbooking thing! ;) It's so much fun to share some of my favorite moments with all of you. This one is of my youngest son whose turning 2! Wowzers! Where did it go! You know he's really the reason I started this blog in the first place! ...another story for another time! Anyhoo...take a look....

I had the great pleasure of meeting Kellie Fortin while I was there. Kellie is such a sweetie! You know I LOVE the JustRite Stamper and was I excited about all of the new goodies that are coming out! Wowzers! So much stuff! I'm not even sure I know where to start!

How about first with a picture of the sweet Kellie herself!

Kellie is just as sweet IRL as she is online! I just adore her! I headed over to the JustRite booth to get the grand tour and was just blown away! I was so excited about all of the stamps that have line images! I LOVE coloring so those were really speaking to me! There's is also this super cute martini set....a FAB recipe set! Man! I was in heaven!

One of the really cool things that JustRite is releasing is the new vertical stamper. I LOVE this! There are also some new alphabets. I took a picture of them but they are somewhat mangled from the plane ride.....

A lower case Times New Roman Alpha! LOVE that! I used the smaller vertical handle to create this....

How much do I love this one! I can't wait for all of the new releases! :)

It's Stamp Simply #65...that's keyword ssnotime65 at SCS. Sharon has such a fun challenge this week. Here are the deets:

Today’s challenge is to create a card with a simple layout using JUST 2″ of designer paper.

Just Two Inches — The idea behind this challenge is to create a simple layout for a Christmas card using JUST a 2″ strip of DP –

You MUST use a 2″ strip of DP on your card, but ONLY this one strip of DP — no more.

You may cut your DP to any length you want.

You may border your PD or do scallops around it, or whatever you want, just no more DP.

Your focal image/sentiment can be any size/shape.

Any embellishments are allowed.

Wowzers! 2 inches! Ok...sure, you could cut that 2 inch strip from a 12X12 sheet of card stock and really get a bit more on your card.....I opted for just one little strip...that I scrunched and folded...and sewed....I used a super fun SU set for this one.....

Heehee! How funny is this stamp! I laugh every time I look at it! LOVE it! The dsp is from Cosmo. I added a little ribbon that I picked up at Target some cardstock from SU. I colored the image with my copic markers and added a couple of dew drops.

Stamp Simply Day 8

Happy Monday! :)

It's time for another fun Stamp Simply Celebration day! :) Today is full of more 'Simply' goodness! Blog candy...fun challenges! So let's get started!

With as crazy busy as things get at this time of year we all need something quick to give. A gift for the teacher, the bus driver, your hairdresser. Our challenge today from one of my favorite friends, Julie, is to create something for just that!

Here's my thought...you need something quick! Something cute...but super quick and easy! Let's face it, if the 'gift' takes an eternity to create then chances are it will never be given...because at this time of year...who has the time!

I grabbed something that I had on hand...a little brown paper bag. Yup! Brown bagging it baby! I added some dsp...a little ribbon....a sentiment from Unity......and......


Yes, EPLS! But that is what's needed for this type of thing! I will be handing the boys one of these for the bus driver...filled with a little chocolate...and they will each get one for their teachers as well. Perfection!

More Rub Ons!

I decided to create another EPLS with more rub ons....before I put them away! That's quite the concept...actually putting something up when I am finished! ;) Here it is......

How cool is this card! ...and by that I mean the whole card....minus the rub ons and embelli's is a die cut from this awesome place called Creative Cuts & More. I absolutely LOVE this! The possibilities are endless! I opted to keep it simple....a little bit of rub ons on the side and the sentiment....some rain drops along the scallop border and a BEAUTIFUL ribbon from Strano Designs....LOVE their ribbon.....and I totally should have titled this post 'THE ENABLER'! ;)

How easy is this! Why am I keeping it sooooo simple....as in 'Stamping Simply' ;)......

The ever so talented and SUPER sweet Sharon Johnson has hit the MILLION mark on her blog! Wowzers! Time to celebrate! :) The festivities begin Monday December 1! It's a week long challenge, CANDY fest! :)


I am so excited for her! ....And really looking forward to all of the fun games and challenges! :)

Ok...off to fix lunch...so what can I do with turkey now???????? lol! I will share my gumbo recipe with y'all sometime this weekend. I LOVE making gumbo out of the turkey!

A Stamp Simply Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving! :) So how was it? Are you totally stuffed? I am heading to bed after this post...of course, I should be heading out for a 10 mile run with all that we've eaten today....OOC....out of control! ;)

Just in time for Thanksgiving, Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge is here! This week...create a 'thank you' card. That's it....no other restrictions apply! ;) Are you game? If so, and you plan on uploading to SCS be sure and use the keyword ssnotime63.

I kept mine super...SUPER....simple! :) When all else fails....pull out the rub ons! ....or when you are looking for quick and easy! Here's my card......

With the exception of the dew drops this card is all SU. The paper is Kiwi Kiss dsp. I also used Kiwi Kiss card stock. The ribbon is Kiwi Kiss...it's double sided which is super cool....although I have yet to use the other side....

I have determined that green is my favorite color....well, specifically Kiwi Kiss! I LOVE this color! It's so calm and soothing..... :)

A Flash From the Past!

Happy Inspiration Tuesday! Take a look at Beate's inspiration piece for the BIC32...

What an fun piece to work with! As I got started on this one last night I knew exactly what I wanted to do....unfortunately, my card had other ideas! Everytime I started it my ink smudged! After the 3rd time I decided to go in a different direction. I am determined to go back and do the first card but it just wasn't happening last night.

I found this piece of dsp from SU from last year....I LOVED this paper! ...and this card was born....

The November Artisan Showcase

Happy Wednesday! For me this day is one day closer to the completion of a huge event that has had me so very busy! I am looking forward to this weekend when I can breathe again! Things have been crazier than I can even begin to tell you! I still have a few more phone calls to make today to tie up some loose ends and then I need to map out the event...type some notes...and somehow work some stamp time into all of this! lol! ;)

I was so excited to see that the November Artisan Showcase is up on the demonstrator side of Stampin Up. If you are a demonstrator you can view it here. If not, our challenge this month was to create with rub ons. I am a HUGE fan of rub ons. I will confess that in my early days of stamping I didn't like them very much. I found them difficult to use and I just couldn't 'see' it. When SU first started selling them I thought I would give them a try and now I'm a convert! They're awesome! I think part of what has helped is that there are so many to choose from. Some of my favorites are the 'flourishy' ones. I think they add such a nice touch to so many projects.

...sorry...getting a little wordy this morning! ...and to think I haven't even had my first cup of coffee! ;)

The rub ons for this one are from the mini catalog. All supplies are SU.

Hey everyone! Hope you are having a great afternoon! We just finished our class....you know, we tend to eat, drink, and be merry more than we stamp! LOL! We did this quickie little number today....

Do you know how much I LOVE this little snowman! He's the best ever! All supplies on this one are SU. I LOVE the dsp!

Gotta Love the Dollar Spot!

Do you ever shop in the dollar spot at Target? It's most definitely an addiction of mine! I cannot even attempt to walk through the store without stopping there first! There are so many great finds! On one of my recent shopping visits I picked up the cutest little pails! They were packaged in twos with either silver & black or silver & orange. CUTE! I decided to slap some rub ons on them and.....

I think they would make great party favors for little kids. The rub ons are from Stampin Up. These are from the Chills & Thrills package.

That's it for me! We are off to 'boo' the neighbors! I cannot tell you how much my kids look forward to that! Evan has been talking about it non-stop!

The Artisan Showcase

I have a quick one to share and then I will be back in a bit to share the tutorial. The new Artisan showcase is up at Stampin' Up!. Here's a look at what I submitted for this month.....

I used an iron on transfer to stamp on the shirt...I will show you that when I come back. It's actually super simple.

I need to dash...my oldest has a birthday party today so I will be back after that to upload the rest.

Taking It Literally

Well it's one of my favorite times of the week. Time for another inspiration challenge from Beate...if you play along and upload to SCS be sure and use the keyword BIC25. How's this for a BEAUTIFUL piece to work with....

This piece speaks to me! I LOVE it. Everything about it in fact! So much so, that I just ran with it. I took it literally. Here's the card I created without changing much of anything about the original....

The stamps: SU's Eastern Blooms and Unity's KOTM. The paper is Kraft, Basic Grey, Sweet Blush, Kiwi Kiss, and Vanilla. The ink is black. The ribbon is an organdy silver. I also used liquid pearls for the centers of the flowers. EPLS...well, once you cut all of the paper pieces and stick 'em on!

A Sizzix Candy Box

Happy Wednesday!

A few weeks ago I promised a tutorial on a 'card' I made for the Stampin Up! Artisan showcase. Here's the card that I am talking about....

Well, I made one tiny little change so that this tutorial will in fact be for a 'box' but the end product is basically the same....only better.

Here's a list of supplies you will need:
1.) SU 1 3/8" circle punch
2.) SU scallop circle punch
3.) SU 1 3/4" circle punch
4.) 1 piece of plain card stock...directions for cutting to follow...I used black for the project I am going to share.
5.) 4 pieces of dsp cut 8 1/2 X 5 scored at 4 1/4 on the long side....I used SU's Ghostly Greetings for this...one piece is the orange skulls the rest are the black skulls
6.) 4 pieces of card stock cut to 8 1/2 X 5 scored at 4 1/4 on the long side...I used black for this
7.) Sizzix big mouth
8.) SU Sizzix Pennant die
9.) Crop-a-dile
10.) Ribbon
11.) sand paper/sand block

The first step would be to take your dsp paper (*supply #5 above) and fold it along your score lines. You will line this up with the small pennant on the sizzix die and run this through your machine. Sorry...this was almost impossible to photograph with only one set of hands! ;) When you have these punched out, tear along the perforated portion of the paper and then sand the edges to smooth.

Second, take the card stock (*supply #6 above) and fold it along your score lines and run throught the sizzix with the small pennant die. Do not tear the perforated lines. Put these aside.

Now take your sheet of card stock (I am using black) and score it 1/2" from any edge....

...pay no attention to the way-ward train! ;)

Now flip the sheet and line the score mark at 5 3/4"......

Score.....then line this mark up at 1/2" and cut....
Now repeat this process on the other 'side' of the paper....you will have 1/2" score lines all around your square....
Then cut the corner squares out...leaving this....

Now adhere your dsp triangles to the black scallop triangles and then glue these to the scored strips on your square above. You will then have this....


I then folded up the black triangles and glued them together. I pull the sides in first and glue...then the bottom. You will need to trim a tiny bit from one of the sides before glueing the bottom in place. This is something I 'eyeball' before applying my adhesive. Here's the box once the sides are glued....


Punch holes in the upper sides of the box and tie a ribbon through these holes and embellish/decorate to your liking. Here is my finished project....

Now had my candy gremlins not gotten into the licorice you would see how cute this is with it inside! I have none left! Did they really think I wouldn't notice they had been 'sneaking up on it' by leaving the empty bag? 'Sneaking up on it' is the way they describe this by the way. Evan was 'sneaking up on' the cookies for instance! Of course since Hayden is the youngest and still not really able to say much of anything...or even get the need for defending himself!...he's usually the one that gets blamed.
