HipHOP!

Hey HipHOP peeps!  I've got a little card today with Unity & a bit of Paper Loft.  Take a peek at what I created with one of the new Angie Girls.....

I've been busy the last couple of weeks getting everything ready for CHA.  I can't believe how many cards I have created over the last two weeks and how much card stock I've cut.  There are scraps everywhere around here.  In between all of the samples with new stuff....that I cannot wait to share with all of you!....I created a little something for todays Unity Hip Hop & the current CPS sketch.  Take a peek....

The stamp for this one is from this months KOTM from Unity.  This is one of my favorite additions to this kit.  So fun and festive.  You can view the entire kit here....and play along with the latest CPS sketch here.

One more.  This one is a blast from the past.  There is an Itty Bitty sale going on over at Unity so I thought I would also share one of my past samples with one of my favorite Itty Bitty's.  

This is such a fun stamp.  At my house the sense of humor is PERFECT which is probably one of the reasons I {heart} it.

Unity & Cosmo!

What a wonderful combo....Unity & Cosmo Cricket. I'm so excited about the new line of stamps that Unity has released for Cosmo Cricket. They are absolutely adorable and you know I LOVE that they match everything in their corresponding lines! LOVE it! I've got a few projects to share with you today.

First up a layout using the 'Get Scrappy With' Material Girl kit. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one! I actually used some of the Garden Variety paper for my layout but it was just what this one needed. Take a peek.....

Here's a close up.....

I stamped the journaling block and then paper pieced the tip of it and added a little stitching. I ended up trimming it and adding it as an embellishment once it was all said and done.

Next up a card with the Material Girl kit. I LOVE the little sewing machine in this kit. The paper for this one is from the Material Girl line....


The buttons are also Cosmo Cricket and from the Garden Variety line.

The next card is an EPLS {easy peasy lemon squeezy} card using the Garden Variety kit. I added a bit of recycled kraft card stock to this one.....


I colored the tomato with my Copics and added a simple ribbon.

Jacksonbelle Challenge Number 4!

The stamp is from Unity Stamp Co. The paper is from another favorite of mine October Afternoon. I really LOVE this paper company! There is never anything that I don't have to have from them! I also used some dew drops on this one. ...and last but not least...the ribbon and thread come from the Down Home Collection from Prima. What an awesome kit that is! I have a layout in the works with this one I LOVE!

A Little Stressed

Hey Everyone!


Well, I spent my night starting and stopping so many projects and cards....I just couldn't concentrate. I had planned on posting something today but I will confess to being just a little overwhelmed!


Why you ask? Well, today I am getting my 5 year scans. Many of you already know that I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in September of 2003. I had 6 long months of chemo (although compared to some, that's soooo short!) and then 1 month of radiation and have been so very blessed to be cancer free. I still get really nervous at scan time. Really nervous. I'm guessing that will always be the case.


Today I am going to share one that I love...an oldie but one of my favs....and then post some blog candy that I had intended to post later....I'll share more after the card....

This is one I shared back in July. It's using one of my most favorite Unity kits EVER!...Hey Chick. I LOVE this set! I also love the October Afternoon paper...LOVE October Afternoon!



Ok...so moving on to the blog candy. How about a little comment game? I guess it seemed perfect to post this today since I am needing a few kind words myself! :) What you need to do to be included in the drawing is to pick three blogs that are listed on my sidebar...anywhere on my sidebar and leave them a comment...if you want you can leave more than one! ;) How about this....For every three blogs you leave a comment on you can enter...so enter as often as you like! A Get Well For Amber

Happy Monday! It's time for another throwdown! ;) Ok...light on the throwdown side today...the cards today are for our good friend...the ultra talented, Amber! Did y'all know that she had to have surgery on her leg? Yuck! Surgery stinks! So in honor of the convalescing Amber!...we all decided to make her a 'get well' card.

This weeks challenge was a real pain to me! :) You know I LOVE the dsp! This week...NO dsp! NO DSP! Who's idea was that anyway! Well, since my boys are both still sick! What's up with that anyway! I needed a quickie! This card is super simple! It would take longer to cut out the butterfly than to create this whole card! Here it is.....

I'm off to try and get the boys to eat something! They don't have much of an appetite...this card could be for them...except that they hate pink and butterflies...and Amber needs it so much more! They would just prefer a kiss...how nice is that! I love that they still love my kisses and hugs!

Easing Out Of Halloween!

You're probably wondering what I mean by the title. I'm sure you've all guessed just how much I LOVE creating Halloween projects. Let's face it...it's not every day you can throw purple and orange together and get away with it! And the jiggle eyes! Don't even get me started! No self respecting Halloween card is complete without 'em!

I've got a quickie little something for you tonight...yeah, sorry it's taken so long to get todays post together...our little stomach bug wasn't gone after all! It's been a crazy day taking care of all of the little sickies around here!

....oh yeah, back to my problem with moving past all of the fun Halloween creations! I'm trying to ease myself out of them! I pulled out my Hey Chick kit from Unity...no Halloween there. The paper is from We R Memory Keepers...NO Halloween with this dsp! So how am I easing myself out of it???? Check out these peepers.....

What can I say...I have a weekness for the jiggle eyes!

A Hippity Hop!

Can you believe this is the 10th week of Hip Hop! How much do you love hopping through your Thursday!? I LOVE hip HOP Thursday! So if you are just starting your hop here be sure and head over to Angela's blog. There you will find a list of all of today's Unity specials.


I pulled out a couple of my favorites for today. First, one from Simple Pleasures. This is one of my favorite cakes ever!

I made this one for a couple of challenges over at SCS...this weeks color challenge and this weeks sketch challenge.


Now for another favorite of mine...the Growing in Unity tree. Cool note...you can now buy this tree all on it's own...I'm partial to the kit but, hey, it's an option...gotta love options! :)


A quick blast from the past....remember when I did this one.....

Not sure what my deal is with this tree! I DO totally see that this could be such a romantic tree. The kit is TOTALLY romantic! Great for anniversaries and whatnot. For some reason I also see the 'spooky' side of this tree and can't help but go with it! lol! So here's the latest.....

For this one I took a piece of glossy card stock and then painted it with watered down black acrylic paint. Then I stamped it with my tree and dried it with my heat tool...because I am toooooo impatient to wait! Then I sanded it a bit. It's pretty easy actually.

A Little Something, Something

Happy Wednesday! :) Happy Fall! How beautiful it is outside here right now! I absolutely love the leaves changing and the crisp air! It's actually becoming my favorite time of year!

Well, before I get busy with all of the things on my to-do list today, I thought I would share this little quickie with y'all.....

This one uses Unity's KOTM from October. I really love the kits....they are full of such a great variety of images and sentiments. The paper from this one is from Cosmo Cricket...the Dutch Girl kit....also a fav of mine! The little black dotted strip is from Heidi Swapp. The ribbon, Target.

Whimsy!

For today's Monday challenge we decided to use 'whimsical' images. I pulled out my September KOTM from Unity Stamp Co for this one. Here's what I came up with....

I used a little October Afternoon...for this October afternoon...LOL! Sorry...couldn't resist! The ribbon is from SU...the dew drops are from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. Yay! I finally picked up some dew drops! LOVE them! I colored the trailer with my copic markers...and that's pretty much it.

Hip Hop...And A Little Something For All You Twilight Fans!

Worlds longest title! Ok...probably not even close....

I have two cards for you. First a new release! Woohoo! I LOVE new stamps! Don't we all? See how much we have in common! Take a look at this one....

How sweet is this! I LOVE this one! The baby Jesus! Perfecto for Christmas! This is Unity's new release Prince of Peace. I used my SU paper for this one and added liquid pearls to tie the green and brown sheet in a bit better with the red sheet. Colored the little guy in copics...LOVE them...used my spica pen...not sure how well that shows up.

And this is for all of my Unity Twilight friends! I so love you guys! Did you know that I read all four books in about one week? Do you know how behind I got on all of my stamping because I could NOT drag myself away from them! LOL! Seriously! You guys! I am hooked! It's not pretty! So here you go.....

I LOVE this little pie! It's the cutest ever! I just had to make it a lovey card! It screamed it to me!

A New Month...A New Kit...

A happy stamper! I LOVE new stamps! ...and I {heart} Unity and their KOTM! October's kit is adorable! I really don't know where to start! There are so many CAAUUTE images!

How about I share a quickie with you. This is for a little challenge over at SCS...it's the current color challenge. For this challenge you had to use Really Rust, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. I had the perfect dsp for this so I couldn't resist. Here's my card....

How cute are these flowers! LOVE them! Yeah, yeah, I know...when I have I ever said I didn't love a flower! Probably never...ok...definitely never...but this is a cute one!

Say It Ain't So!

I cannot believe it's actually been six months! Time really does fly!

Six months ago I had the great pleasure of joining the Page Plans design team. I absolutely LOVE challenges so I was so excited to apply and actually get a spot on the team! Weekly sketches! Sign me up! Now, it's time to pass the torch to a new group of designers. I look forward to all of their beautiful work and more exciting new sketches from the the team!

I just want to take a quick moment to thank Chris and Lesli for giving me the opportunity to take part on their team. I have truly enjoyed participating in their weekly sketches. It's been so much fun to make new friends and share what I love! Thanks you guys! I have had a blast!

Fun! Love this paper! Of course, I haven't met an October Afternoon design that I don't love! I colored this with my copic markers. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. The gems are glitz. Hmm...think that about covers it!

Card number two also uses October Afternoon paper. The stamp is from the Kit of the Month. LOVE getting my KOTM! They are always so cute!

My First Dirty Challenge!

How fun! I just uploaded my first card for a DD/DDA challenge! The rules of this challenge had me stumped just a bit. Not only could you NOT use layers, you couldn't use any pink. What, NO PINK!??! lol!

After a little bit of thinking I decided to create this....

First I took a standard white card and created a 'grid' with my pencil. Then I randomly sponges some of the squares with either pumpkin or black ink. I stamped a few of the images and the sentiment...added a few gems and a ribbon...those were allowed...and viola! A card is born!

I would say an EPLS was born but masking is a bear! Easy, yes, but a pain!

The stamp is from Unity. It's Trick or Treat Peeps. I used pumpkin and black ink and my copics. The ribbon is from Flower Factory.
