Stamp Simply Birthday! :)

Did you know it's Sharon's birthday!? ...be sure and wish her a happy one when you stop by her place! ;)

...and it's Stamp Simply time! :) This weeks challenge? Create a birthday card...ok...not just any card....here are the deets straight from Sharon's blog....

"Today is my birthday, my 55th birthday!!! Oh good gracious, how did that happen!!! I don’t feel a day over 25 (most of the time)!!! So today we will make a card that is suitable to give to a Senior Citizen!!! Yes, I know Senior Citizens like ALL types of cards, but today let’s try to make a card that when we look at it we think — gee, that sure looks like an *Old Lady* card — LOL!!! (or Old Man, if you prefer). This is totally open to your interpretation — you could go vintage, you could go humorous, or anything else you can dream up — WHATEVER strikes your fancy!!! Most importantly, have fun!!! Can’t wait to see what you do!!!"

Ok...again...

Happy Birthday, Sharon! :)

This one gave me the greatest excuse to pull out one of my favorite Gina K sets. Take a peek at this.......

I LOVE this set! I opted for monochromatic for this one and because I LOVE the whole sentiment I decided to cut and piece it on the front....I'm to impatient to have to wait to see the whole thing! ;) ...Hmmm....senior citizen.....well, this little guy certainly qualifies...but I am going to share....this will totally be my hubby's birthday card this year! ;) What a hoot! ;)

Ok...now be sure and check out the rest of the SS team..... Julie, Janine, Tammy, Dee, Becky, AJ, and Deb. If you play with this one be sure and upload to your blog and/or SCS using the keyword ssnotime70 ...and then link them to Sharon's blog.

Hope you are all doing well! I will post you soon! :)

Jacksonbelle Challenge Number 4!

This is the last challenge of the night! Are your fingers inky? :) Love that!

Challenge number four is one of my favorites of the night! Think New Year's...new beginning, fresh starts, the BIRTH of a NEW Day! ...and since Lindsey's birthday is January 4th...BIRTHDAY cards! :)

Keyword for this one at SCS is JBENYE4.

Here's what I came up with for this one......

The stamp is from Unity Stamp Co. The paper is from another favorite of mine October Afternoon. I really LOVE this paper company! There is never anything that I don't have to have from them! I also used some dew drops on this one. ...and last but not least...the ribbon and thread come from the Down Home Collection from Prima. What an awesome kit that is! I have a layout in the works with this one I LOVE!

Now check out the rest of the team....
AJ Otto
Jill Dunn
Kimberly O'Rosky
Kisa Peters
Lynda Benden
Lyndsey
Maren Benedict
Melissa Bove
Michelle Woerner
Rachel Baird
Shannan Teubner

Good luck tonight! I hope you win some of the fabulous goodies that Lyndsey is giving away! :)

Happy New Year!

A 'Mini' Challenge....

Don't ya love a good challenge! You know I do! Well, today I've been challenged by the ever so talented AJ, Maren, and Amber! ...It's a mini challenge! By that I mean that we are to create a card that is smaller than a 3.5X3.5....can you dig it?

Well, I was game! Especially since it was such a mini card! That's my idea of EPLS! My card is so simple but I think it's actually a favorite of mine! I used my Hawaii Papaya paper! ...sorry, this is the paper I used for one of my cards yesterday that I mistakenly labeled 'Haiku'...I think I just like that name and wanted to type it! The stamp is from Unity's Simple Pleasures. This is a favorite set of mine. I thought the cake really went well with the paper.

...anyway, here's my 'mini' card.....

supplies: Unity Stamp kit Simple Pleasures, Hawaii Papaya SU, White card stock PTI, Chocolate chip card stock SU, Kiwi Kiss cs SU, Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon SU, Copic markers.

Well, I showed you mine....you can check out the gals from above....and then I hope you get a chance to play along....the only rule to this challenge is to keep your card small....smaller than 3.5X3.5...can't get much easier than that! If you get a chance to play, please link here or on one of the other gals blogs so that we can see your beautiful creations! I would love to see what you come up with!

Hope you are all having a great morning! I am off to play with the boys for a bit and then stamp! I have a few things to catch up on....I will share with you soon....

Have a good one!
