Sky's The Limit - CPS 253

I'm back with another sketch from CPS {CPS 253 found here}.  Take a peek at this weeks sketch....

I love this sketch.  There are so many possibilities, whether you take it at face value or choose to flip it.  This week I kept things as is.

the deets:
Patterned Paper:  Jillibean Soup
Cloud Die & sentiment:  Lil' Inkers
Twine from The Twinery {this weeks sponsor}
Button & Ribbon:  PTI
Cardstock:  Kraft & White {Archivers}
Ink:  Color Box

Here's a close up.  This twine is AMAZING and my photo just doesn't do it justice.

Now it's your turn.  Be sure and link your cards at the CPS blog {linked above} if you get the chance to play.  Can't wait to see what y'all come up with.

Have a good one!

Stamp Simply Time

It's time for another Stamp Simply challenge. This weeks challenge is to create an Easter card. I have a little something different than my usual for this one. One of my friends {Lisa} is a photographer and she always takes the cutest pictures of her dogs for the holidays. They are always dressed up so cute! Here's the shot she took of one of her dogs, Nola.
How cute is she! I decided to 'borrow' Lisa's photo of Nola and print it off on a transparency so that I could add it to a card. Here is the final product.....

The photo doesn't do this one justice. I love the subtle coloring from the photo. It's really beautiful when you see it IRL. Here's a close up.....

The sentiment is from one of my favorite Papertrey Ink sets. You can always find the perfect sentiment in the perfect card size with their stamps. The paper is also PTI as well as the ribbon.

Be sure and check out Sharon's beautiful sample as well as all of this weeks challenge deets at Sharon's blog. You can also view the rest of the samples here.....

A Simple Gift

It's time to Stamp Simply and what perfect timing here! I am trying to finish up all my last minute Christmas gift giving so this weeks challenge is perfect! The one catch with this weeks challenge is to use 'snow' in our projects. Here's what I came up with....

I've spent the entire day baking. I have a huge plate ready to go for my hubby to take to work tomorrow, lots of plates for friends and about a dozen little boxes (as pictured above) for my children to take to school tomorrow for their teachers and the school staff. Phew! What a day!

These little goodie boxes are holding my homemade turtles. These are sooooo EPLS to make. All you need are caramel, milk chocolate, and pecans. Layer a baking sheet with pecans, cover with caramel. Bake in an oven pre-set to 200 degrees for around 5 minutes and then dip in melted chocolate. So easy but boy do they taste so GOOD!

The little boxes are from Michaels. I used the snowflake Martha Stewart punch for the border of the red card stock. The patterned paper also had glittery snowflakes but the picture doesn't quite show that off. The stamp is from Papertrey Inc.

Be sure and check out the rest of the team.....

Hope you get a chance to play. If you do, be sure and upload your creations to SCS using the keyword ssnotime118.

Post you all soon. I'm off to watch the rest of the Colts game and then off to bed! ....if I can actually stay awake long enough to see the whole game! ;)

Have a good one! :)

Step On Out!

Taking a step out of my comfort zone. I love this type of challenge! Every now and again you can find yourself in a bit of a rut. You get in your 'safe' spot and just sort of coast through it. Thanks to Sharon this week we are all going to take a little detour. Are you ready? We are at ssnotime102 for this one if you are uploading to SCS.

Where do I begin? First I pulled out some of my favorite Crate Paper. Ok....not quite out of my comfort zone. I've really never met a piece of Crate that I didn't LOVE! Next up, Papertrey....? Yeah, yeah, I know....more that I LOVE! So far I'm sure your scratching your head wondering when I'm going to actually follow this weeks challenge. Well, take a peek.....
Masculine. That's a place I don't often go. I'm really not sure why I don't do that very often. One reason pops to mind....no ribbon! As in no big whoppin' bows! I live in a house full of boys so I will take any opportunity to slap a bit of ribbon on something and usually the only one is a card!
Take a closer look at the stars.....
I used Stampin Up's new silver paint. Being as impatient as I am I decided to dry it with my heat gun. I really love the way it sort of bubbles up. It was perfect for this. Don't you love it when something works out that way. ;)
Ok....now check out the rest of the team.....
I will post you all soon. Hope you have a good one! :)

Stamp Simply Friend, Take Two

...Take Two because I apparently don't know what day it is! This weeks challenge is to create a card for a friend. ;) Hmmm....sounding familiar? Sorry, I think I had my days mixed up in my small flying freakout last week. Those of you who have been reading my blog for a long while will know that I am so terribly afraid of flying for some very good reasons! But we will skip that and move on to the super fun challenge for this week!

All the deets are over at the super talented Sharon Johnson's blog. I pulled out a new stamp set, well, new to me. This one is from Papertrey Ink...it's one of super sweet Lisa Johnson's sets, On My Couch.

Love this set and the sentiment is so cute! All of them are actually!

Now be sure and check out the rest of the Stamp Simply team....

I will post you all soon! Hope you all have a great one! :)

Clean & Simple nO.5

It's that time again! Time for another Clean & Simple scrapbook challenge. The twist to this weeks sketch is to create the layout with a little designer paper. Here's this weeks sketch...

I thought it fitting to pull out one of my favorite baseball pictures for the sketch this week. I spent all day Saturday at the ballpark between my older two sons games. It's that time of year again. I truly love baseball and we live at the ballpark this time of year.

This one is from last year. Notice the name? lol....a misspell led to a new nickname. Brickhouse. My oldest tends to be really particular about things so I was quite surpised when we got the shirt that he didn't really mind the error. Then when his peeps started calling him 'brickhouse' I was sure he wouldn't like it. But I was wrong. How nice to be wrong about something like this. He loved the name. We had such a fun season last year. I'm really looking forward to this one. :)
The paper for this layout is from Cosmo Cricket's Lil Man collection. The stamp is from Papertrey Ink.

Hope you all get the chance to play. Be sure and check out the sweet and talented AJ for her fantabulous sample. I look forward to seeing all of yours!

Here's a peek at what you are playing for.

The dsp and stamp are from one of SU's level 3 hostess sets. The ribbon is So Saffron, also from SU. The buttons I picked up from my lss.

Be sure and link your cards up here and if you upload to SCS use the keyword CASSB05. Hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

Hang 'Em Simply

It's time for another fun Stamp Simply challenge. This week Sharon has such a fun one for us! This week we need to 'hang' something on our cards. For all the deets be sure and check out Sharon's blog.

I was actually going to do a layout. I have one...unfinished...sitting on my desk with these cute little clothespins. Problem is that would have taken me forever to finish up tonight...and, well, I got some new goodies in the mail today that I could NOT wait to use! Remember after CHA when I shared one of my new loves...Canvas Home Basics? I LOVE this place! They have such cute stuff! So I ordered myself a few things and decided it would be perfecto for todays challenge. Here's my card....

The paper for this one is Basic Grey. The stamp is Papertrey Ink. The canvas pennant is from Canvas Home Basics. These things are amazing! I added some Pink Paisley rub ons to the canvas and then added some distress ink. I am loving them! :)

Be sure and check out the rest of the team to see what they have in store for you....Dee, Janine, AJ, Julie, Becky and the newest guest designer Jenny.

Hope you all have a good one! I will post you soon!

Stamp Simply

It's time for another Stamp Simply challenge. You can get all the deets at Sharon's fantabulous blog. This weeks challenge...to forget the rules. How much do you love that! I LOVE this! So let's get busy and create something without rules.
I opted to mix it up a bit with a little Crate Paper, the stamp is Papertrey Ink., and this BEAUTIFUL ribbon...that I just happened to pick up from Sharon! ;)....I mixed up the circles with the stripes...and as far as my mom would probably be concerned, you don't leave the house dressed like this...and yet, somehow it seems to work for me. I like it! Yeah...I tend to be pretty easy..... ;)
Be sure and check out the rest of the team to see what they have in store for you....Dee, Tammy, Janine, AJ, Julie, Becky, and our March guest designer Barb.
Hope you are all having a good one. I will post you soon! :)

REally! I took all of 10 minutes to whip it out and stamp. Seriously, 10 minutes! I didn't even bother to stick the whole set to the CD....I just grabbed one of the flowers and went to town! I love that there is a sentiment for everything...EVERYTHING! I decided to make a card for all occasions....ok...one design...different colors, different sentiments...take a peek...

A Quick Challenge Card

Finally I was able to play along with one of the Splitcoast challenges this weekend. I chose the Featured Stamper challenge. This weeks featured stamper StampingQueenJAR. I chose to CASE this card...why...because it's stunning! ... ;) ...and because it's a clean and simple design which I have a firm like of! Here's my take on Judy's beautiful card....

I love the white space! I changed the colors and stamp for this one. I pulled out one of my favorite new Papertrey stamps...Damask Designs....LOVE this set! The dsp is Basic Grey.

So now I am off to take care of a little school business and then to get to planning some birthdays. Hayden turns two on Friday! Holy heck where does the time go! I need a cake. I've been instructed to get chocolate. Hey...my boys have excellent taste! ;) I also need to make some calls for the older two boys. Their birthdays are coming up really quickly as well. 'Cake, Mom....chocolate cake!'....yeah...and I thought I was going to start exercising now! ;) Guess this is actually the perfect time since I will have extra calories to burn off!

Hope you are all doing well! I will be back soon! :) Hugs!
