Hip Hop....Unity Celebration Day #4

It's hip HOP and day 4 of this fun Unity Celebration! Today is such a fun day! There are so many new stamps and more sneaks from the May KOTM. Ack! And you know tomorrow is the day! THE day! The day of the KOTM guest designer challenge! How much fun is this week!

First up for me a card using an image from one of todays new releases. I used Flower Soft again today on this one. Take a peek.....

This Flower Soft is amazing and it fit perfectly with the bee. Love that!

Next up, my KOTM sneak and more from Angela's new stamps. I used this weeks Clean & Simple scrapbook sketch for this one and new Crate Paper! I was so excited to find this at Archiver's yesterday. I LOVE Crate Paper! Take a peek....

I LOVE these! These are from the new scrapbook kit and this kit is AMAZING! I'm so in love with it! Are you having as much fun as I am this week!? LOVE this!

Unity Celebration Day #3

How much fun is this! I am having such a great time celebrating this week. And the sneak peeks! Wowzers! I LOVE all the sneaks of the new KOTM. Fun stuff!

So today Maren has a fun challenge for us. You need to create something inspired by an image she found. Take a look....

I love this one. Today's sneak of the KOTM fits perfectly with this one. Here's my sneak peek and my take on the inspiration challenge.....

I used my pink Flower Soft for this one. Here's a close up.....

I LOVE this stuff to! It's perfect for the center of the flowers and so easy to use. It gives the image so much dimension. I opted for super clean with this card to show off the image and accents.

A Unity Sneak

It's time for something new! Something FUN! We are starting to show some sneak peeks of the new May KOTM! Woohoo! I am LOVING this kit. It is AMAZING! Prepare yourself for nearly a week of peeks leading up to the May 1st reveal. We will also have challenges every day, prizes....OMHECK! ...and a HUGE prize!!!!! For one lucky somebody...you will have a chance to win a year subscription to the Unity KOTM! WOWZERS! How awesome is that! You can check out all the deets in the Unity forum over at SCS. You'll want to upload your cards there if you are playing....I'll explain a bit more in a sec.

Yup...today marks the first challenge and I am lucky enough to host this one. My challenge for you today is a color challenge. Your card or layout needs to use Kraft, Baja Breeze, So Saffron, and Ruby Red. I decided to combine the color challenge with todays KOTM sneak peek. Here's my card....

How cute are those bird cages! This stamp is so big! This card is 5 X 7 1/2...if that tells you anything! I LOVE it!

My Sweet Boy

Here's my sample for this weeks Clean & Simple scrapbook challenge.

A little bit about the layout: The dsp and embellishments are from Cosmo Cricket's Lil Man line. The stamp is from Unity Stamp Co. The picture is one of my favorite of Evan. I snapped this one on one of those first sunny days of spring. We were all out playing in the yard. I love this moment. I love how free and fun he is and his expression says is all. Such a fun time.

I opened the paper so you could see it a bit better, it's a 12X12 pack from SU. The ribbon is also SU. There's a stash of buttons and some chipboard as well.

Virtual Stamp Night, Part 2

It's time for more from the Virtual Stamp front. This time around it's Viva Las VSN. Fun stuff! I'm lucky enough to be hosting a challenge this go around. My challenge is for all the kiddo's hanging out while their parents are stamping the day away. Of course, you can feel free to play along as well even if you are a grown up! ;)

The paper for this one is from My Mind's Eye. I picked it up over at Stampers Dream. CUTE stuff to go with a CUTE stamp!

Next up a layout. I pulled out an 'oldie' for this one.

This is one of my favorite pictures. I snapped it at the ballpark this weekend during our double-header. Hayden lost his patience pretty early on but was definitely into playing in the dirt and mud. Once Evan's game ended he got down there to play with him. They both went home with at least 4 layers! Fun times.

Knit Knots

Happy Monday to you! It's time for another Monday challenge. This weeks challenge is to create a card using a 'woodland creature'. So do any of you have pre-schoolers? If you do you totally understand the title. My son is so in love with Imagination Movers. He LOVES that show. One of the characters is Knit Knots who calls the warehouse mouse a 'woodland creature'. It makes me laugh. What's that saying...simple minds,....ok...not sure I can remember the rest. Hmm...perhaps a further reinforcement of the not so finished saying....

Ok...moving on. When I sat down to start this weeks card I just happened to have one of the cutest stamps sitting on my desk. Thank heavens for Splitcoast! Last week there was an add for Stampavie. I found the stamp at this AMAZING little shop called Stampers Dream....and here's the result....

How cute are those little owls! I LOVE them! The paper is from Stampin Up. It's a surprise find. I guess I should read the fine print! This paper is textured and heavy. It's absolutely amazing! I LOVE it!

Clean & Simple nO.5

It's that time again! Time for another Clean & Simple scrapbook challenge. The twist to this weeks sketch is to create the layout with a little designer paper. Here's this weeks sketch...

I thought it fitting to pull out one of my favorite baseball pictures for the sketch this week. I spent all day Saturday at the ballpark between my older two sons games. It's that time of year again. I truly love baseball and we live at the ballpark this time of year.

This one is from last year. Notice the name? lol....a misspell led to a new nickname. Brickhouse. My oldest tends to be really particular about things so I was quite surpised when we got the shirt that he didn't really mind the error. Then when his peeps started calling him 'brickhouse' I was sure he wouldn't like it. But I was wrong. How nice to be wrong about something like this. He loved the name. We had such a fun season last year. I'm really looking forward to this one. :)

Hip HOP!

Happy Hip Hop!

I usesd two of my favorite sets this week. First up from me a blast from the past. I used Gratitude = Joy for this one.

There is so much in my life to be grateful for. I am truly so very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. One of the best gifts in my life...my children. I have three wonderful boys that I feel so blessed to mother. They are wonderful. Here's a picture I took a few days ago while they were goofing off in the kitchen.

Some of you know that I am a cancer survivor. I was actually diagnosed when my older two boys were only 3 and 1. At that moment in time all I could think about was being there when my oldest started kindergarten. I wanted so very much to survive at least that long. Now here we are (nearly 6 years later!) with one more kiddo and I have watched two of them start kindergarten...preschool....football championships....skinned knees....first bike rides. There are so many moments that I am so truly blessed to have been there for. Being a mom is such a great gift. I love my boys and am so lucky to be here to enjoy this time with them.

....ok...back to stamping! ;)

Next up, a layout. This one uses the new Birdie Inspiration. I LOVE this kit! The sentiments are amazing and the images are just adorable!

Mini Monday
