Red, White, & Blue Hip Hop Style

Hip Hop! It's that time again! Are you loving all of the patriotic projects this week? I love this time of year. Memorial day and soon 4th of July....celebrating all of the men and women in our armed forces who sacrifice so much to ensure our freedom. We are truly so blessed in this country due to these courageous people.

I have had the great privilege to know so many of these men and women personally. I have many relatives that have served. One of my cousins was actually on the USMC silent drill team. Have you ever seen these guys? AMAZING! I cannot believe how fantastic they are! My youngest brother....he's 19....just entered the army. My Dad was in the army. I'm so proud of each of them for all that they do and have done.

Here's one little project for the fourth....couldn't resist making this one....

I used this weeks Clean & Simple sketch for this one. You can find the GIANT 4th stamp here at Unity and the distressed star background here.

Some more of my heroes. My Mom, my Aunts, my Grandmother. Being a mom myself now, I have a whole new respect for all that she did while we were little.

Picture this, we are driving to school this morning....cause we missed the bus...even longer story. Anyway, we are in the car, one is teasing the other, as I am asking the one to stop a hand flies a nose is hit and BAM - a busted nose! I drop one off at school and take the other home to clean up. Then drop him off, which now means walking him in...with the two year old....all the while trying not to miss the repairman that is supposed to be at my house sometime between 7AM and 7PM.....

How did our parents make it look so easy!

The next one is using this months KOTM. I used the 'You light up my life' sentiment.

EPLS (easy peasy lemon squeezy).

Ok...off to clean the car. It's still a bit messy in there. Yikes! Hmm.....wish there was a detail service that came to your house....and was free! Oh, wait, that's me isn't it! ;)

Hope you all have a great day!

Now head on over to *****Jeanne Streiff *****

Oh, Jenn! So sorry you had a rough start today, but you're dead on. I was laying in bed last night thinking of the difficult times we had growing up, but you never missed the love! ~ky

Jenn, you totally rock. And seriously, I don't know how our moms did it either - except my mom only had me to deal with and I've got 5, but then again, she worked full time and was a single parent.
I wish the very best for your brother. It's a rough time to join the army, so he's to be commended and you are right to be proud.
