CPS

Happy Sunday! :)

I'm so excited about today! I'm sponsoring CPS! How fun is that! CPS is such a wonderful site with so many amazing sketches from the talented Tami Mayberry and she has a team of super talented designers. This week they are all using a bit of Stampin' Up! for the cards they are creating with this weeks sketch. Head over to the CPS site to view this weeks sketch and to check out the blog candy I am offering for this one.

I'm playing with this weeks sketch as well. I used some of my favorite SU products for this sort of rustic Christmas card....
The stamp is from A Holly Jolly Christmas. The paper is Soft Suede DSP patterns prints. The ribbon is Sleigh Bells. You can find all the supplies through my SU website.

Hope you get a chance to play and good luck to each of you in the drawing! :)

Post you all soon!

Step On Out!

Taking a step out of my comfort zone. I love this type of challenge! Every now and again you can find yourself in a bit of a rut. You get in your 'safe' spot and just sort of coast through it. Thanks to Sharon this week we are all going to take a little detour. Are you ready? We are at ssnotime102 for this one if you are uploading to SCS.

Where do I begin? First I pulled out some of my favorite Crate Paper. Ok....not quite out of my comfort zone. I've really never met a piece of Crate that I didn't LOVE! Next up, Papertrey....? Yeah, yeah, I know....more that I LOVE! So far I'm sure your scratching your head wondering when I'm going to actually follow this weeks challenge. Well, take a peek.....
Masculine. That's a place I don't often go. I'm really not sure why I don't do that very often. One reason pops to mind....no ribbon! As in no big whoppin' bows! I live in a house full of boys so I will take any opportunity to slap a bit of ribbon on something and usually the only one is a card!
Take a closer look at the stars.....
I used Stampin Up's new silver paint. Being as impatient as I am I decided to dry it with my heat gun. I really love the way it sort of bubbles up. It was perfect for this. Don't you love it when something works out that way. ;)
Ok....now check out the rest of the team.....
I will post you all soon. Hope you have a good one! :)

Hip HOP... A New Kit!

Happy Thursday! :) I'm really excited about our next Kit of the Month! I am so in love with all of the images! I know, I know....I say that every month....but they just get better and better!

This week I am using one of my favorite images from the next kit. I sooooooo love this one! Something about the little doll just screamed Halloween to me. Take a peek.....

How stinkin cute is she! Love her! I used a sentiment from the Hauntingly Sweet set. I added a bit of Flower Soft to her hair and Crystal Effects for her little button eyes.

Now head on over to my sweet friend

Enjoy the rest of your hop! :) Post you soon! :)

I really love this little stamp from this months Kit of the Month. It's such a cute one!
Next up a little blast from the past. This is one of my favorite layouts and it seemed fitting to share it today since school has started here and little Hayden has my undivided attention these days. I think he's truly enjoying this!

A Just Rite Blog Hop

I am so excited to be taking in part in the latest JustRite blog hop and so excited to start working on my Christmas projects for this year! You can never get started to early with these! I am working with A Merry Little Christmas Borders & Centers. This is such a great set and there is a little something for all of your Christmas needs.

I chose to use the secret Santa stamp for my project for these little 'Brownie Pops'. Yup...you heard me right....a Brownie Pop. A tutorial will follow in the next few days as I'm guessing we will all be on sensory overload after this AMAZING hop! I'm so excited to be working with all of this incredible talent!

So how about a few pictures? I made my favorite chocolate mint brownies, covered them in wax paper, popped them on a popsicle stick and then created some little covers.....

Each little box opens up when you untie the ribbon to reveal the little brownie inside. Who wouldn't love a 'brownie bouquet'.

Here's the little gift card that goes with the set...

Each set is stamped in memento black ink and then colored in with Copic markers. I also used a bit of Flower Soft for the Santa hat and then liquid pearls for the holly berries.

The ribbon is one of my favorite. You can find this over at Sharon Johnson's blog. Click here for Flower Soft.

There's still so much in store for you. Here's a list of the complete blog hop roll.....

A Stamp Simply Celebration

OMHeck! Can you believe it? 100 challenges!?
Not to long ago I found the online stamping community. I was so overwhelmed by all of the amazingly talented stampers out there and so very grateful to find so many willing to share their talent. New to the stamping world, it was such an open, warm place. How exciting to find so many new friends and so many wonderful challenges.
(This one is from CHA last summer in Chicago. I was so excited to meet Sharon there. Isn't she beautiful! She's seriously just one of the nicest people you could ever meet.)

Holy Moly! What an amazing person and such a talented stamper. I love her perspective on all things stamping and so love her enthusiasm for this 'hobby'. When I found her challenges I was so excited to play and can still remember the first card I posted and her kind words to my humble card. She made my day! I was so happy when Sharon asked me to be part of her team in April of 2008. That was one of the happiest stamping moments for me. I called my stamping friend Amy and think I may have screamed in delight in her ear! Poor Amy! ;) Now here we are all celebrating 100 challenges with Sharon.
I absolutely adore Sharon. She's one of the most wonderful people I have had the pleasure to meet and am so very thankful that she is doing what she does.
Thank you, Sharon! Here's to many more! Keep 'em coming, cause we love them so much!
This week in celebration of this momentous event we are all creating birthday cards. I decided to use the Papertrey kit that I got at CHA in Florida a few weeks ago. I seriously LOVE this kit! It's so beautiful. Here's what I created....
(We are just going to pretend that the candy box is filled with beautifully covered nuggets. The painters are still here (we are painting...the house is total chaos) and I didn't have time to make it to the store.)
....and now.....for a little something, something from me to celebrate....
How about your own little PTI set? I just so happen to have an extra!
How fun is that! This kit is so super beautiful. If you would like to be entered for a chance to win this kit please just leave a comment to let me know. I will draw a name on Sunday, August 16th.
Now head on over to the rest of the team to see what fun goodies they have in store for you (and when uploading to use the keyword ssnotime100....

Stamp Simply Friend, Take Two

...Take Two because I apparently don't know what day it is! This weeks challenge is to create a card for a friend. ;) Hmmm....sounding familiar? Sorry, I think I had my days mixed up in my small flying freakout last week. Those of you who have been reading my blog for a long while will know that I am so terribly afraid of flying for some very good reasons! But we will skip that and move on to the super fun challenge for this week!

All the deets are over at the super talented Sharon Johnson's blog. I pulled out a new stamp set, well, new to me. This one is from Papertrey Ink...it's one of super sweet Lisa Johnson's sets, On My Couch.

Unity Stamp Co's Guest Designer Challenge

Sorry for the delay with this post. We've had a bit of technical difficulty here with our internet provider. Long story but we have no options other than the one company and they haven't been the most reliable this weekend. Apparently the internet has been out since Friday. Bummer! At least I wasn't home for most of that and it's fixed now! Phew!

I'll be back in a bit for some CHA pictures but first wanted to share with you this months Guest Designer challenge for Unity Stamp Co.

The deets: Create a project using 1 stamp ( this stamp may be used as many times as you would like but only one image), 2 designer papers, and 3 embellishments.

EPLS! Please upload your beautiful creations to Splitcoast Stampers using the keyword USGDC04 so that it can be considered in this months contest by August 10th, 5PM Central time. A winner will be announced Wednesday the 12th of August.

Are you up for it? I hope you get the chance to play. Remember that you must use either the June or July Unity Stamp Co KOTM for this contest.

I wanted to share one more little something that I created with the August kit. I had this one ready to go when I left for CHA but didn't get a chance to post it.

The paper for this one is Jillibean Soup. LOVE this kit!
Hope you are all doing well! I will post you soon!
