Stamp Simply Friend!

It's time for another fun Stamp Simply challenge! This week....ssnotime99! You can find out all the deets of this weeks challenge over at Sharon's blog.

The jist...create a card using the word 'friend'. Other than that, anything goes. Here's what I came up with for this weeks challenge.

I used a little Papertrey for this weeks card. The ribbon is PTI as well.

Hip HOP!

Hip Hop...as I'm heading to CHA! I'm a bit late going this time around but am soooo excited to see everyone! This time I am leaving the laptop at home but will more than likely send you guys some updates from the road via Facebook. I'll be sure and post some pictures once I make it home.

A Unity Sneak

It's time for a new Kit of the Month! I LOVE this time of the month! I stalk the mail waiting for my new Unity goodness! Each month I say this, and each month I mean it....this is the best kit EVER! I LOVE this one!

This week we will be sharing some sneaks of the upcoming kit. I'm loving the image for today! It's AMAZING! Here's my first with this months kit....

Don't you love that tree! I LOVE it! The sentiment is fabulous! That's one of my favorite things about Unity stamps...the sentiments. They are always beautiful...uplifting...always amazing.

Stamp Simply

It's time for another fun challenge from the sweet Sharon Johnson! You can find all the deets at her blog for this ssnotime97 (97! She's almost at 100!)....but you basically need to create a card using an image of some kind of fruit. I decided to pull out some patterned paper that would help fit the bill and an image from Unity Stamp Co. Take a peek.....

I love this image and the paper was just what I needed for this challenge.

Hip Hop Halloween!

Happy Hip Hop Thursday! :) I am so excited about this weeks release! Y'all know how much I love creating projects for holidays and Halloween is one of my favs! I LOVE the colors! When else can you get away with combining any combination of black, orange, purple and green! LOVE it!

I love all of Unity's Halloween stamp kits and this weeks release is definitely being added to my list of favs! It's super cute! I went Clean & Simple with my creation today. Here's what I came up with.....

What can I say....clean lines really speak to me and something about this image just really makes it seem perfect for that!

Simply Elegance

It's time for another fun Stamp Simply challenge. You can get all the deets over at Sharon's fantabulous blog. I'm still having issues with my email...which of course has all my info. The challenge is black and white.

I pulled out some Papertrey for this one. I really love this set and am so bummed that things have been so crazy that I haven't been able to play with it before now. It's called Bird Watching.


For the first time...EVER....I actually finished a challenge in time to snap a photo outside. I so love summer!

Hip Hop!

Happy Hip Hop Thursday! It's so good to be back! It's been crazy here catching up from the vacation. We had a great time...very relaxing. Wouldn't it be great if everything else didn't pile up while you were away? ;)

Here's one more Florida pic. This is one of my guys.....

Oh to live on the beach! Would I ever get anything done? I could so get used to a life of lounging all day long!

Ok...back to hip hop. I've got two for you today with the Kit of the Month. I LOVE this kit! It's the cutest! I also used some October Afternoon for both.....

Love the sun. It's one of my favorite stamps from this kit. I masked the words so that it would layer in the middle. The ribbon is PTI.

The little birdie is courtesy of my sweet friend Kimber. I so love that she lives nearby. We were stamping together not so long ago and she gave me the bird. ;) I added a bit of dsp, a button, and some button.

The ribbon and button are from PTI. The sentiment is one of the many cuties from this months kit.

Coming To You Live From Florida!

Hey Everyone!

First up, I'm so sorry, I don't have my card ready for today's Monday Throwdown. In my packing haste last week that one had to be missed.

Packing? Yup, we headed out for a little family vacation. This post comes to you live from sunny Captiva Florida! Man, it's beautiful here! We arrived Saturday. We left a gloomy, overcast, rainy Indiana for a gorgeous, sunny Florida! Ok...you know I love Indiana but life is really fun just hanging out on the beach all day! A girl could get used to this!

My boys are on a constant lizard chase....in between their dips in the pool and ocean. Here's a shot of Carter with one of the lizards that had the great misfortune of being 'caught'. It was a catch and release but I'm sure the thing didn't like it that much.

Sorry for the foggy image. The lense fogs the instant I walk outside. I didn't quite give it enough time to clear.

This is one of Evan's little friends.....

All together now....YUCK! How gross is this thing! I mean, he's really colorful but I am not a fan of crickets, grasshoppers, ....heck, bugs of any kind!

Last for now, a view from the deck. We are right on the ocean. It's truly beautiful! I absolutely love walking outside and hearing the waves hitting the shore. The boys are having a great time shelling and I'm just enjoying 'being' and playing with them. It's a great time!

I've been getting some things ready for a trip today and finally noticed that my post did not go live yet again. Sorry for the delay.

It's Stamp Simply time! :) This weeks challenge is to create a card using stars and stripes. I decided to pull out some new Papertrey for this one and make a little baby card. I used Heavenly Medley and some FABU ribbon from Sharon's store.

hip HOP! Are you loving the new Unity kit of the month!? I love this one! The sentiments have inspired me! ;) I am wanting to create a book around them. I decided to use this weeks Clean & Simple scrapbook sketch to put together the first page of the book.


The paper is Cosmo. I used the 'you Inspire me' sentiment from the kit.


Don't forget that the KOTM guest designer challenge is extended this month due to the holiday. You have until the 8th to get your entries finished.

New Flower Soft...(Post #2 For Today)

New! I LOVE NEW! ;) You have to see the new Flower Soft! I am so excited! Sue has released two new colors, new toppers....all to be available soon! Today I have a sneak of one of the new toppers and the new white.

The team has a challange to step 'out of the box' with their projects. This one is definitely out of the box for me. I'm so used to stamping and coloring....love that, but cannot tell you how great it was to pull out one of these super cute toppers and add some Polar White Flower Soft to create a card. Take a peek.....

Here's one of the things that I LOVE about the new toppers. Each topper comes with a sheet with different images to pop out and use for decoupage...ok...that's what they call it 'across the pond'. Here it's paper tole. This technique lets you pop up an image over and over to give your project dimension. Here's a close up of the image.....

I popped up the girl and dog first, then went back to just pop the girl, then I popped her hat. One of the things that I love about the new Polar White is the sparkle. It looks so much like snow. It's just beautiful.
