Jacksonbelle Challenge Number 4!

This is the last challenge of the night! Are your fingers inky? :) Love that!

Challenge number four is one of my favorites of the night! Think New Year's...new beginning, fresh starts, the BIRTH of a NEW Day! ...and since Lindsey's birthday is January 4th...BIRTHDAY cards! :)

Keyword for this one at SCS is JBENYE4.

Here's what I came up with for this one......

The stamp is from Unity Stamp Co. The paper is from another favorite of mine October Afternoon. I really LOVE this paper company! There is never anything that I don't have to have from them! I also used some dew drops on this one. ...and last but not least...the ribbon and thread come from the Down Home Collection from Prima. What an awesome kit that is! I have a layout in the works with this one I LOVE!

Now check out the rest of the team....

Very cute card. I dont want to waste my pretty paper so I save it....=) I just have to go ahead & use it already!
Thanks so much for playing! :) Hope you all have a great day! :) Please email me your deets, Michelle so that I can get your goodies to you. :)

Time for the third challenge. Are we having fun! I must confess, I am quite the challenge junky so this is such a thrill for me! Keyword for this one is JBENYE3.

Ok...number three....are you a New Year's resolution kind of person? I will confess that I am not so much. I never....NEVER stick to them. I do set goals for myself. I like it better when I can work with shorter time restraints....short attention span..... If you are like me you can create a card using some neglected stamps, paper, embelli's...anything like that.

Well, I am setting a goal for myself. I set this a few weeks ago. I have a hard time when I buy paper packs of never using the whole thing. There goes that short attention span again! So my card today uses one of my favorite new paper packs that I would have long ago put aside as this is just about my 5 thousanth card/layout using it! ;) Here it is....

The paper is from one of my favorites Crate Paper. It's the Mia collection. The ribbon is May Arts. The stamp is Inkadinkado. This one is called Dogs.

....AND! GUESS WHAT! :) .......

I've got some goodies for you! Courtesy of the oh so sweet Lindsey!

Take a look at this!
This is the houndstooth embossing folder from Cuttlebug...love it!

...and this one....

What do you need to do for this? Just leave a comment on this post by midnight January 2nd. EPLS! Good luck you guys! :)

See you again at 9 Eastern for the next challenge! Hope you are all having a great night! :)

Jacksonbelle New Years Challenge Number 2!

Time for the second Jacksonbelle challenge! :) Are you ready!? Did you upload your card from the first one? I can't wait to see them all! :) Keyword for your SCS uploads for this one is JBENYE2.

Second challenge.....New Year's....don't you think of sparkle with this one!? This is a New Year's challenge for sure! Create a card using black, white or vanilla and some SHINY accents or paper (metallic, glitter)....any theme.

How's that for fun! I so love black and white and adding a little sparkle is bliss! :)

Here's my card for this one....

I used Cosmo Crickets rub ons for this one. The ribbon is May Arts....and of course, lots of dew drops! LOVE the dew drops! :)

Don't forget...upload at SCS using keyword

Now off to the rest of the J'belle team playing this one.....off to find more goodies! :)

A Jacksonbelle Challenge

Happy New Year's Eve! What a fun day! Do y'all have big plans? We had trouble finding a sitter so our plans will keep us home this evening. Today is a fun day of stamping. Lindsey, Ms. Jacksonbelle, has a ton of fun challenges and LOTS of blog candy for you!

Time for challenge number one! :) RING in the New Year. Keyword....RING! For this one, make a card that has a 'ring' to it. Sound like fun? Uploading your card to SCS...use the keyword JBENYE1....

I thought of Dick Clark and RING in the New Year. Which made me think of 'rockin' in the New Year....which led me to this.....

EPLS. The stamp set is from Inkadinkado. It's called Rock Star.

Now here's the fun part. Check out the rest of the J'belle team playing with this one....someone, somewhere has some fun stuff for you! ;) Good luck you guys! See you in a bit for the next challenge! :)

That's One BIG Butterfly!

Do you guys ever buy the whole paper package? You know, the packages that come with not only dsp but the little punch outs and alpha's? I have a really bad habit of buying them and never using all the little do-dads that come along with the dsp. I can't throw the do-dads out mind you...but they really never get used.

I picked up a whole package of Crate Papers Mia Collection from Jacksonbelle and it came over the weekend. I LOVE the paper. In fact I've used some already, but now I have the whole package. In an attempt to use up everything....will it even be possible?....I created this little number....
This is really such a quick and easy card. I used the GIANT butterfly that was on one of the punch out pages and then a couple of the border strips. The sentiment is one of my favorites from a past Kit of the month from Unity Stamp Co. This sentiment is from the July kit of the month and if you missed it you're in luck because it's available now!
I'm off to get busy with the things of the day. I hope you all enjoy yours! I will post you soon!
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Monday Fun Day!

It's Monday fun day! Today the boys are still out of school so we are doing our summer routine of Monday fun day. I'm off to who knows where! Hopefully I can find something both fun and warm!

Our Monday challenge today is really fun as well! Today's challenge is to create a card using candy in it somewhere. Well, in addition to our Monday fun day this is the day I decided I had to start exercising! I keep saying I am going to start and I keep putting it off. There's always a good reason to wait. If I keep it up like this I will never start! So my candy is a little different. Take a look....

I used Unity's Love Is Toxic kit for this one. The hearts look like cherries...thus my kind of candy lately! Only fruits and veggies for me for a while. If you are a gambling kind of person I would be betting that I didn't last till this post went live! ;) Sorry....I have a serious addiction to sugar! ...and the hearts also remind me of the conversation hearts you buy at Valentines day. Just covering all of my bases here. ;)

I love the black and white on this one. I used my new Nesties labels. I also used Cosmo Crickets Lovey Dovey rub-ons and a May Arts red satin ribbon. I picked both up at Jacksonbelle. I also covered the hearts with crystal effects.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure and check out the other gals to see what they came up with....

Hope yours is a 'Monday fun day' as well! Post you soon! :)

Congrats on your milestone and thanks for a chance at your blog candy!
Thanks so much for playing y'all! And thank you for coming by! :) Please email your deets Janet so I can get your goodies in the mail! :)

....does the time go! I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful holiday break. It's been a fun ...and crazy.... time here. Today was the first day that I have actually sat down to stamp in what feels like forever! I look up from my desk to see my #2 son......

The giant jigsaw puzzle pieces belong to his little brother. What I have learned is that baby toys are so much more appealing when you are 6. Who knew?! Ok...how long is this break? lol! I think the boys are already going stir crazy!

...Needless to say, I haven't had a ton of blogging time this last week. Between finishing up for Christmas and keeping up with these little guys of mine, things have been quite crazy! I totally missed my blogs 150K hits! I totally cannot believe that I am there. Well, a little bit over now that I've actually noticed! How is that possible? Well, because of all of my online friends...because of all of you! Thank you so much for coming by each day and leaving me such kind comments. I cannot tell you how much it means to me!

Let's celebrate! As a thank you to each of you I am offering up some candy. This is what I have so far. If you've won from me before, you know that your package will arrive with a little extra. This time is no exception. One of my projects this week is to clean up my stamping space. Things are in total chaos! This is what I could put my hands on for the photo.....

The stamp set is from Stampin Up it's called By the Sea. The paper is Basic Grey. The ribbon is random satin. Once I come across some of the brads for this paper I will add it to the package. I know they are here somewhere!

Thank you! I really enjoy sharing with all of you! Thank you for coming by to see what's going on and for all of your kind words!

Hope you are all enjoying your break! I will post you soon! :)

***edited to add....deadline for this one will be Friday. I will announce the winner on Saturday morning. Hope you all enjoy your week. I will be back with posts throughout the week but I am scheduling them all. This promises to be an even busier week than last! :) Have a good one!

Stamp Simply...And A Very Merry Christmas! :)

Merry Christmas! I hope you have all had a wonderful day! It's been a rather low key Christmas here but one filled with lots of fun. I've spent my day playing with the boys and all of their new toys. I think we've been up since at least 5AM. I'm not so sure that they weren't up before that and they did NOT want to go to bed tonight! Aw!

So tonight I finally got a chance to get a little stamping done. This card is about as simple as you can get, though. I created a quick one for Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge. This week is all about playing with some of our new toys! You can get the full deets here at Sharon's blog. I hope you all get a chance to play along with this one. If you do, be sure and upload your creation to either your blog or SCS. If you upload to SCS use the keyword ssnotime67.

Here's my little quick card....
So what's new? Well, I am the oh so happy new owner of the new Spellbinders Labels Two...how excited I am about this purchase! I also got the new Papertrey Ink Love Songs set created by the oh so talented Lisa Johnson. The card itself is pretty straightforward. I used my swiss dots embossing folder for the main panel and then some Pink Pirouette dsp from SU. The ribbon is also from PTI. That's it. EPLS.
Be sure and check out the rest of Sharon's team.... Julie, Janine, Jennifer, Tammy, Dee, Becky, AJ, and LeAnne.
Hope you are all enjoying what's left of this Christmas and that you all have a wonderful weekend! :)
Post you soon!

Monday Challenge

Happy Monday! This is going to be a super quick post....I am off to take the boys out for breakfast. It's their first school day of break for the holidays.

Todays Monday challenge was to create a holiday card using Santa in it somewhere. How about the whole card? In all honesty, my desk is such a mess! The entire basement in fact is OOC! I've been working on a scrapbook for a friend and just shuffling stuff from one side to the next. Add that to the fact that I've been reorganizing all of my stamps and I have NO clue where anything is. I did have this one sentiment...ok...there were other stamps as well but none were Christmas or holiday related! So here's what I did to solve my problem....

Yeah, I could have cleaned but this was more fun! I will have to do the cleaning today. The sentiment is from Bitty Christmas Tags from Unity Stamp Co. The furry trim on Santa's suit is Flower Soft.

Check out the rest of the gals... AJ Otto, Amber Height, Brooke Lien, Jeanne Streiff, Maren Benedict.

Also before I dash...I am so honored to say that I am joining the Jacksonbelle Embellishments design team. I was lucky enough to meet Lindsey at CHA this past summer and she is one of the nicest people! I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with her and the rest of the team that she has assembled. :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day! :) I will post you soon!

What Started It All

Today is going to be pretty crazy around here. Do I always say that? This is the last crazy day for a while! Thank goodness! I am working on a scrapbook for a friend and need to finish it up by tomorrow afternoon. Once this project is finished I can officially relax! All of my big PTO responsibilities are over and all of the big extra projects are finished...30 projects for SU a couple of weeks ago! Holy heck! That was a lot! One more big one. :)

Last night I decided to sneak in a little fun staming. What better way than to participate in a Splitcoast challenge. The oh so sweet, Jeanne, is hosting the limited supply challenge. For this one you need to create a holiday card...any holiday will do....using blue (at least 3/4 of the card should be blue) and only one! embellishment. Wowzers! For this one I pulled out my first Unity love, Butterfly Beauty. This is the stamp that I very first saw from Unity and I fell in LOVE instantly!
LOVE those butterflies! They are big and fabulous! The paper for this is October Afternoon. I also used PTI's Ripe Avocado cs and ribbon. I colored the butterfly with copics and then went over it again with Shimmerz.
I bet you're wondering what the heck kind of holiday card is this! Well, this was the perfect challenge! I still have a list of obscure holidays from this month Dirty Dozen challenge...open to all this month! The holiday I chose is 'Reach As High As You Can' day. What an awesome holiday! I thought that both the butterfly and the sentiment were perfect for this day....which is celebrated on April 14th. I actually think this is one we should celebrate every day!
Off to work on that scrapbook. Hope you are all having a great day!

Ok...here's what I am going to do....I will pick a winner tomorrow night....at 10 PM Eastern time. Feel free to post a comment. I am so sorry! I did not want to leave anyone out!

...and because of the mix-up...I'm truly so sorry about that! I will also choose a second name to win a $5 gift card for Unity! :) Gotta love that Unity goodness! :)

Good luck you guys! :)

EPLS!

...Stamp Simply style!

Are y'all crazy busy? Things are insane here! I am trying to play catch up...not sure how successful I am at it right now...I will let you know if everything that I have ordered arrives and I am able to get my house cleaned!

I am finished making Christmas cards. I am hoping to get them in the mail tomorrow...oh...that's only a few minutes away.....

Sharon has a great challenge for us this week. It fits perfectly with the craziness this time of year! Stamp Simply #66...Beyond Quick. Here are the deets from Sharon's blog....

Create a Christmas card (or card for other event if you are done with Christmas cards) that is SO SIMPLE you could assume that someone CASING your card COULD MAKE 6 of them in 30 minutes or less — now that HAS to be a simple card!!!! No other rules.

Well, I will share that I am finished with Christmas cards...not because I think I have enough...but because at this point...if I don't...it's just to late to do anything about it! ;) Maybe I will start now for next years!

Anyhoo...I chose to make a quickie 'love' card...perfect for Anniversary...or just because.....take a peek....
Talk about EPLS! Stamp and paste. That's the jist of this one! The paper is SU...so is the ribbon but it's retired. Cool thing....at one point you could get it at Flourishes. Check it out...I'm pretty sure they still have it. The stamp is Unity. Love this one!
Check out the rest of Sharon's team: Julie, Janine, Tammy, Dee, Becky, AJ, and LeAnne.
Hope you are all doing well and that you have a wonderful Friday! :)

A Holiday Hippity Hop And A Gift For One Of You!

Happy Hip Hop Thursday! Hope you are all having a great day! Me? I'm going to be running around like a crazy person for part of today! A little last minute shopping....still some prep needed for a classroom party....so many things so little time. Thank goodness it's Thursday! I am so looking forward to catching up with all of the Unity peeps at SCS! :)

...and how many shopping days till Christmas? Ah! Still working on it and so quickly running out of time!

I have three things for you guys today. First, I used Unity's Bitty Tags for a Christmas thank you. I need a ton of them! This one is super simple...my version of the inchie....

I used my copics to color the images and punched them and the dsp with my 1 inch circle punch. EPLS.

Now on to a layout. This is a photo that was taken a couple of summers ago while my hubby and I were in Florida at some business thing.....

The paper is Cosmo...the ribbon is PTI....sticky hearts from SU and chipboard pieces as well...some of which I colored with my copics. I used Unity's All About Me, Simple Pleasures, and the September KOTM.

Happy Holidays to You All!

My gift to one of you! Please leave a comment below to be included in a blog candy drawing for the Worn Music background stamp from Unity!

Good luck you guys!

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Merry Christmas!

Be sure and leave your comment by 12 midnight EST...I will choose a winner and post it to this thread in the morning! :)

Now hop on over to the talented Patter Cross. Check you all in a bit! :)

Late!

What a crazy day this has been! Yesterday and today I have been running around like a crazy person trying to get Christmas shopping done and pick up some last minute things for one of my boys class parties at school. We visited Santa yesterday. Wowza! What an experience that was! I'm guessing I will have to go to a professional if I am wanting a picture of all the boys with santa this year. Hayden is officially at the year when kids are afraid of the big guy in the red suit!

Today was just nuts because on top of the frigid temps it went back and forth between snow and sleet? ...think it was sleet.... Whatever the roads are slippery and I am just happy to finally be home sitting on my couch with my feet up! Ah! Relaxation finally!

I've got a quick card for y'all tonight. This one is using Papertrey. Actually...it's all Papertrey! Take a look....

This is one of my favorite layouts...it's quick and easy. The paper and ribbon is Sweet Blush. The dsp is also PTI.

Quick post. I am off to sit for a second and just be one with the couch! Hope you are all having a great night! I will hopefully have something to share tomorrow. I'm working on a scrapbook for a friend....also some layouts of my own.

Post you all soon! :)

Thank You Monday!

Todays Monday challenge is to create a thank you card. Ok...it's supposed to be for the holidays...but I'm going to confess that I found this new paper and it's sort of holiday-ish. Ok...holiday-ish, in that it has red in it. Couldn't help myself I had to use it and last night after finishing up my dirty dozen stuff the only thank you stamp I could find in the mess that was my stamping space was Gratitude=Joy....not exactly holiday-ish...but I was to tired to clean and then stamp some more!

Here's my card....

That's it for me. Be sure and check out the rest of the gals....

Off to clean up my mess! Hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

The Full View...

A Dirty Dozen month! Can you believe how wonderful it is that this month is a freebie for all to see such amazing eye candy! I have been a fan club member for over two years now and have enjoyed seeing all of the amazing creations. I am constantly blown away by the creativity!

As promised, I am here to share the full view of my favorite project in this months gallery. Each month we have a theme that we follow. There is a sketch, an inspiration piece...we can go 'more is more'....'limited supply'...so many additions to the one central theme. This months theme is Obscure Holidays. I had so much fun researching this and found some really fun ones to work with!

This card is for 'Unlucky Day' which is December 31'st. I used Unlucky 13 from Unity for this one. I punched out and flipped the number part and then cut out the numbers on one of the circles...

The dsp is from Crate Paper. The ribbon is PTI and I used champagne dew drops.

Be sure and stop by SCS to check out the rest of the gallery. You will see the rest of my creations as well as the rest of the Dirty Dozen...and you will be the first to see the newest Dirty girls announced.

Thanks for stopping by! I will post you in a bit!

And The Quick Card Winner Is.....

Anonymous said...
I uploaded my card to SSC08 gallery in Splitcoast. Hope it's there. Haven't done this for a long time. Made this simple card for my SIL who needed a simple but classic looking card for business contacts. For some reason the only way I can get my comments in is by going anonymous - Google won't work for me. But I still want to 'play' so I have had to go this route. Nice blog candy Jennifer - thanks. Congrats Martie! Please email your deets so I can get your goodies in the mail!

A Dirty Dozen Sneak Peek!

Can't wait to share the rest! Again...that's coming at midnight. What's the fan club? The fan club is a special part of Splitcoast...you can find more out here. Each and every month on the 15th of the month a new gallery is revealed to all Fan Club members. A special from Splitcoast this month...everyone will get to see the fan club gallery! How cool is that! Be sure and check it out...I promise once you see it you will want to join! I know I did the first time I checked it out! It's always filled with a variety of styles and soooo many BEAUTIFUL creations!

Ok...off to finish up my contributions for this months gallery! I will be back in a bit to announce my blog candy winner. Thank you all so much for playing! It has been so much fun to see all of your beautiful cards!

Post you in a bit!

J * O * Y

Are you ready for Christmas? In all honesty, I'm still working on it! ...but enjoying every minute! I dont' often have any shopping to do at this time of year...ok...that part isn't so fun...tooooo many crowds. Heck, it just takes forever to get to the stores because of traffic! My house is almost ready. I've had so many stamping projects that I am slightly behind on that part as well. Although, I'm ok with that. All the elements that the boys love are up and shining so bright.

Here's one of the projects I have been working on. I made this one for Angela...you know, Unity Angela! ;) I pulled out my Bitty Christmas Tags for it along with my sizzix pennant dies.....

Here's a close up of some of the different pieces....
One more....
I realized as I was editing these that they came out slightly blurry. Sorry about that. You get the idea. I would retake...but can't...it's not here anymore! ;)
Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday! I am off to start my day! :)
Post you soon!

Hope you are all having a great Saturday! I am off to pick up donuts for the boys! They are sooo excited!

Two

It's Stamp Simply #65...that's keyword ssnotime65 at SCS. Sharon has such a fun challenge this week. Here are the deets:

Today’s challenge is to create a card with a simple layout using JUST 2″ of designer paper.

Just Two Inches — The idea behind this challenge is to create a simple layout for a Christmas card using JUST a 2″ strip of DP –

You MUST use a 2″ strip of DP on your card, but ONLY this one strip of DP — no more.

You may cut your DP to any length you want.

You may border your PD or do scallops around it, or whatever you want, just no more DP.

Your focal image/sentiment can be any size/shape.

Any embellishments are allowed.

Wowzers! 2 inches! Ok...sure, you could cut that 2 inch strip from a 12X12 sheet of card stock and really get a bit more on your card.....I opted for just one little strip...that I scrunched and folded...and sewed....I used a super fun SU set for this one.....
Heehee! How funny is this stamp! I laugh every time I look at it! LOVE it! The dsp is from Cosmo. I added a little ribbon that I picked up at Target some cardstock from SU. I colored the image with my copic markers and added a couple of dew drops.
That's it for me. Be sure and check out the rest of this weeks sample makers....Julie, Janine, Tammy, Dee, Becky, AJ, Jerri, Darlene and LeAnne.
Hope you are all doing well! I will post you soon! :)
